Crisis of Identity by Denise Moncrief

I've become a fan of Denise Moncrief, she has a way of telling a wonderful mystery that keeps you totally enthralled. Crisis of Identity was no exception to that. I truly was hooked on this book from page one. The story has so many twist that I was turning pages very quickly. There is never a dull moment for poor Tess.

Tess Copeland has enough problems of her own. She is on the run from the law for a crime that she didn't "really" commit. She takes on the identity of a deceased woman. Little does she know but Shelby Coleman seems to have as many problems as Tess if not more. People seem to want Shelby dead so Tess is in a lot of danger. Tess has spunk, is very independent, and is so creative to get out of the messes she finds herself in, you just have to love her.

She meets a US Marshall, Jake Coleman that has been searching for her. She also meets up with Trevor Smith that claims he is a PI. Can Tess really trust either of these men to keep her safe or is one or both of them out to get her. She has a lot of trust issues with plenty of just cause. This girl has a lot of problems on her plate.

There is also the romance that develops between Tess and Trevor. She has feelings for him but can she trust these feeingls or is Trevor just out to get her too?

This is a really good mystery story. There is so much going on I kept thinking wow what is going to happen next!

I would recommend this book if you are looking for a good mystery with some romance thrown in.
