Busted by Shiloh Walker ~ Barnes Brothers #3 ~ Review

I started reading Busted one night after finishing another book. I totally intended to read just a few pages and go to bed. Well an hour or so later I was still awake and still reading. Shiloh Walker has a way of captivating my attention from the first page and not letting go.

Trey Barnes has suffered so much loss and tragedy. The one bright spot in his life is his son, Clay. Clay is quite the little charmer  and he add so much to this story. Trey and Clay are really quite the father and son duo. They have a great relationship and Clay is just too adorable. I also love that even though the rest of the Barnes family doesn't live close by they are still a tight knit family and very supportive. I really liked the unique relationship between Trey and his twin Travis.

Ressa Bliss is a librarian that gets to work with books all day! She is also strong, determined, loyal, and a little feisty sometimes. I admired Ressa for taking on the responsibility of raising her little cousin, Neeci. Ressa has been through a lot and has a few things in her past that she has had to overcome.

Trey and Ressa have an instant attraction but their relationship starts off slow. It seems like just when things might go their way something happens and it doesn't work out. When they finally get that chance to spend some time together oh my! Things went from tense to friendly to HOT quickly. They have a lot to work out and a few things to reveal to each other that adds quite a bit of drama to their relationship.

There is also some mystery, quite a bit of drama, and a little suspense that kept me turning pages quickly. The whole story was great. I loved the characters! Trey and Ressa are great together. Did I mention he's an author and she is a librarian? I thought that was cute and added to the storyline. I loved the kids. Both Clay and Necci are adorable and when they get to meet they form a bond quickly. I thought the kids added a nice touch and seriously added to the awe factor.

It was fun to get an inside look at a author convention. I have never been to one but from the descriptions it sounds like it would be a lot of fun for an avid reader like me.

This is part of the Barnes Brother series, however it stands alone just fine. I have not read the first book in the series, but I did read the second. I really enjoyed it as well.

I can't wait to read more about the Barnes Brothers and see who get their story told next. I'm sure it will be awesome. Shiloh Walker always does a wonderful job with storyline and her characters are always well written and feel like friends by the end of the book.

I was given the opportunity to read this great book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Busted.
