I could not wait to read Sweeter Than Sin after reading Deeper Than Need. This is a great series that deals with some very dark issues. Shiloh Walker is a very talented author that has created a great mystery that left me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and who was going to do it.
Sweeter Than Sin deals with Adam's part in the story. Adam has some issues of his own and has dealt with them in various ways. He's drank his sorrows away and then found comfort in the arms of many many women. However he just can not let go of the secret promise he made 20 years ago. It haunts him that he may have been able to help a friend that was in need.
I really liked Adam even though he started of the serious playboy that would sleep with any woman. I could see that Adam really is a nice guy that really does want to help everyone. He goes through some really rough times in this book.
I hate to give too much away, it really doesn't say much about the mystery lady that is in town. I hate to tell you who she is because that may spoil part of the story for you. However I will tell you that she is in town to reveal things from the past and maybe just maybe find out some of the things she doesn't remember from her own past. She has dealt with a lot in her life as well. She has fault additions just like Adam. When these two connect they add some really hot steam to the storyline.
There are so many things happening in this town. I commented a few times that Shiloh was keeping me in suspense making me wonder who a few of the mystery people where. There are many twists and turns and unbelievable mysteries revealed. HOWEVER there are still some things that remain unknown! I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I will be anxiously awaiting it's release.
Even though this story does deal with some very dark demons it also deals with some really great people that are there to help those that have been affected by the monsters.
Shiloh Walker is one really talented author that can keep me on the edge of my seat with a mystery and keep my kindle running a little on the warm side from the steamy scenes.
Like I said I have had the pleasure of reading Deeper Than Need so I have read the first book in this series. However I think Ms. Walker has done a fine job of explaining the past in this book that you could read it as a stand alone. Although Deeper Than Need is a pretty great read so you may want to pick it up as well.
You may find more of my reviews on Shiloh Walker's work here.

Movie star Molly Harper has it all, beauty, success in her field, and a loving family and marriage to actor Ben Delmonico. Norma Wintz, Molly’s mother, has it all, a lovely life style and two children who adore her, and a respite from the battle against cancer she’s been fighting. Anne Sullivan, at age fifty, is optimistic that her move to sunny Santa Barbara, California, will allow her to be closer to her youngest son and his family, and help her start her life anew after the death of her beloved husband.
But all three of these women, despite their considerable blessings, are plunged into turmoil when the most intimate of secrets that ties their lives together is revealed. At this same time, Molly Harper is confronted with the news that her marriage to actor Ben Delmonico is over. As she navigates this heartbreak and tries to keep the personal details of the drama off the front pages of the newspapers, Molly must also find a way to once and forever negotiate a way forward with her ex- lover and best friend, the volatile and compelling Cruz Morales.
How each of these characters handles the resulting upheaval in their own life, and in their relationships with one another, forms the compelling story of family, secrets and trust in the romantic women’s fiction novel, Molly Harper.
DUETS offers alternating looks into the lives of two women who would seem to have little or nothing in common.
Screen star Molly Harper has it all…beauty, success in her profession, a loving family and an upcoming marriage to actor Ben Delmonico. But as Molly is on the verge of marrying the man who has swept her off her feet, she still wonders if he hasn’t swept all her feelings for her first love away, Cruz Morales.
A handsome and cerebral college professor, Molly and Cruz have an on-again, off-again history stretching back to Molly’s early teen years. He’s not a man who a girl can ever forget about, and his feelings for Molly are equally conflicted.
Anne Sullivan, happily married for twenty-five years, is fighting to hold onto the man she loves, and hold off a confrontation that could shatter her family’s image of what they are. It involves the beautiful screen star and her mother, upper crust matron Norma Wintz, who Anne has traveled to California to meet under the most dramatic of circumstances.
Duets confronts the most intimate type of family secret that ties these two women’s lives together, just as chance events turn Molly and Anne’s worlds upside down.
Enjoy an excerpt from DUETS:
“He’s not what you think.”
Molly Harper turned away at these words, knowing they more than likely preceded an indictment of her fiancé. Keep from showing you’re hurt, she told herself. But she knew disappointment had flashed in her eyes, and that her mother had seen it.
“Ben’s not what I think?” Molly stared outside as the limousine she and Norma rode in glided down Wilshire Boulevard, five miles from the brick-paved road leading to her mother’s neighborhood. “Why don’t you tell me what you think I think he is?”
“You think he’s a man like your father, a man inclined to put his wife’s well-being and his children’s needs before his own. Ben Delmonico is not that kind of man,” Norma said.
She turned and faced her mother. “I don’t think you know Ben well enough to say that. And honestly, I wish you had a little more faith in me. I gave this a lot of thought before I decided to marry him.”
“A lot of thought? You told me five minutes ago you said ‘yes’ the same night Ben proposed. I think you’ve agreed to marry him because you’re panicking.”
Molly sighed. She’d hoped Norma would be delighted by the news she was marrying a successful man, the gorgeous, Academy-Award-nominated actor, Ben Delmonico. A man known the world over for his sophisticated action movies and box office charisma. But it was clear Norma was not delighted.
Typical. Mother loves being contrary. And in control. “What am I panicking about?”
“About being thirty-two. About not having children. But mostly because Cruz Morales is seriously involved with another woman. And, as usual, when you panic you make impulsive decisions. I’ve seen you live to regret that several times.”
“That’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever said.” Molly’s took a breath. “When you told me a few weeks ago Cruz was involved with Shar, how did I act? I was happy. I told you to give him my congratulations! Cruz and Shar hooking-up has nothing to do with me deciding to marry Ben.”
“Really?”
“You know as well as anyone that Cruz and I have been over forever. He’s moved on, and I’ve moved on. We’re friends, but only that.” Heat bloomed on her cheeks and spilled down her neck.
“I don’t remember you being all that crazy about Ben before you heard the news about Cruz.” Norma tilted her chin up.
“Just because I don’t announce something to you, doesn’t mean it’s not true.”
Norma snorted.
“Ben and I have been dating for months. He’s a charming and generous man who convinced the studio to consider me for Traitor, risking his own chances for the lead. All my friends like him, Mom, both for himself and because he’s a wonderful actor.”
“Well, that is one thing we can agree on,” Norma said. “He is a good actor. So why not just make movies with him instead of marrying the man?”
“Those are not mutually exclusive. I’m marrying him and making a movie with him. Or have you forgotten I’ll be on set in Paris at Christmas?”
“Of course I haven’t forgotten that. It’s the first Christmas you won’t be home; thank you, Ben Delmonico.” Norma leaned closer. “I just can’t help but wonder if that movie isn’t what’s behind him proposing so suddenly. The wedding publicity is sure to make it a blockbuster.”
“For god’s sake, that’s just plain insulting. He didn’t ask me to marry him to get publicity.” Molly reddened again, remembering how Ben had said, two minutes after she’d accepted his proposal, “Our box office will be huge.”
“Let’s just drop this, Mom. We’re almost home and I’ve got a million things to do.”
The Lincoln slowed and turned onto North Highland, the main thoroughfare into Hancock Park. “Every time we come this way, I remember the day Charles and I brought you home, all those years ago. It was the biggest triumph of our lives,” Norma said softly.
“That’s a nice memory.” It was, but Molly knew better than to let down her guard.
“It is.” Norma turned to Molly. “Now look, obviously I can’t tell you what to do any more. But until you found out Cruz was moving in with Shar, every time you called home, you asked about Cruz first. Every time you came home, he was the first one you called. I think you’re still in love with him. And, despite his behavior, which might fool someone who hasn’t known him since he was a little boy, it’s clear to me that he loves you too. I think this relationship with Shar is a ruse to provoke you into finding a way to work things out.”
The limo rocked gently and the women’s shoulders brushed against one another. Molly ran her fingers through the wild blonde hair she was famous for. “You’ve just outlined a plot so pathetic it wouldn’t get made by the Hallmark Channel.”
“I like the Hallmark Channel. They make lovely movies, without all the naked fannies.”
“I like the Hallmark Channel too, but that’s not my point. Cruz wouldn’t be with Shar for any reason other than he finds her a good match. He doesn’t do ‘ruses’.”
“What’s he got in common with her?”
“They both work at the college and they’re both into books and the local arts scene. I bet she’ll finally get him to turn one of his ideas into a novel. I never could.” Molly’s voice wavered.
“See, that’s pain in your voice, not happiness. You shouldn’t be afraid of the truth about your feelings, whatever the cost.”
“Like you? Are you always completely honest, Mother? No matter the cost?”
Norma blinked. “What are we talking about now? What haven’t I been honest about with you?”
Molly looked down. Her question had surprised both of them and she wished she could un-ask it. Now isn’t the time to open that particular can of worms.
Emelle Gamble was a writer at an early age, bursting with the requisite childhood stories of introspection. These evolved into bad teen poetry and worse short stories. She took her first stab at full length fiction in an adult education writing class when her kids were in bed. As M.L. Gamble, she published several romantic suspense novels with Harlequin. She contracted with Soul Mate Publishing for Secret Sister, published in the summer of 2013, and Dating Cary Grant, an April 2014 release.
Once and Forever, an anthology which includes the novella Duets, came out on November 1st. Molly Harper, a full length novel starring the characters from Duets 3 years later was released by Posh Publishing in January, 2014. Duets is now available as a standalone novella. Emelle lives in suburban Washington D.C. with her husband, ‘Phil-the-fist’, her hero of thirty years, and two orange cats, Lucy and Bella. These girls, like all good villains, have their reasons for misbehaving.
Her daughter, Olivia, and son, Allen, are happily launched on their own and contributing great things to society, their mother’s fondest wish.

Praise for SECRET SISTER…

DUETS…
"I'll admit I grabbed this book for review more because Emelle Gamble had a story in there - I've loved her significant touch brought to family relationships in a previous book of hers that I've read, and I wanted to confirm if this sort of embroiled-relationships type of tale is really her niche or not. Turns out, it is!" Zee Monodee's Author's Corner reviews
MOLLY HARPER…
"MOLLY HARPER ...is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be my last! Ms. Gamble does a wonderful job of drawing these characters and making them just leap off the page." Long and Short Reviews
DATING CARY GRANT…
"Fantasy and reality blend together in this mesmerizing tale from Emelle Gamble…It's not your typical romance, making it a breath of fresh air in a market currently inundated with new adult contemporary romances (which I do love, but need a break once in a while!). Jami Davenport presents Game on in Seattle, a new series featuring Seattle sports teams, hot men, and strong women.
He trusts his gut, she trusts her numbers, and neither trusts the other, as a billionaire's mission to bring hockey to Seattle clashes with his passion for the woman who holds his heart.
Ethan Parker, a billionaire determined to bring a professional hockey to Seattle, will stop at nothing to realize his dream. After signing an agreement to purchase another city's team, Ethan is anxious to make the move to Seattle, but a gag order by the League forces him to keep the sale a secret until the season ends, leaving him no choice but to go undercover as a consultant to study his team during the playoffs.
Lauren Schneider, Assistant Director of Player Personnel for the Giants hockey team, gets no respect from the team's testosterone-loaded staff. When Ethan bursts onto the scene, full of charm and genuinely interested in her opinions, she shares the team's weaknesses and discovers a weakness of her own--for Ethan. But when his true identity is revealed, and he starts cleaning house based on her unwitting input, his betrayal cuts deeply on both a professional and personal level. Bound by an employment contract, Lauren reluctantly moves to Seattle to work for the newly christened Seattle Sockeyes and her sexy, infuriating boss.
Lauren and Ethan must come to terms with their passions--for the team, for hockey, and for each other. Will their situation build a frozen wall between them, or will their love burn hot enough to melt the ice shielding their hearts?
An advocate of happy endings, Jami Davenport writes sexy contemporary and sports romances, including her two new indie endeavors: the Game On in Seattle Series and the Madrona Island Series. Jami lives on a small farm near Puget Sound with her Green Beret-turned-plumber husband, a Newfoundland cross with a tennis ball fetish, a prince disguised as an orange tabby cat, and an opinionated Hanoverian mare. She works in computer support in her day job and juggles too many balls, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Read an excerpt:
“Gina.”
Hell. Even now, she heard his voice, dancing on the breeze.
“Gina.”
Louder now. More substantive.
Her heart lurched. Her head swung around. She stared.
Oh shit.
This was not a fantasy or her imagination or even a wish. He was here.
She scrambled to her feet and brushed off her butt, forcing her knees to lock, even though they wobbled. “Jace— Um, Jason.”
He was tall. Much taller than he’d been. And broad. His shoulders were breathtaking. And his muscles—muscles the boy had not had, honed through years of working out for parts, no doubt—filled his tight black T-shirt.
She ripped her gaze away from the tantalizing bulges to the lines of his face. Gawd. Tantalizing there too. His lips—which she remembered, tasted still—full and lush. His dark eyes were fringed with sinful lashes. The scar on his right eyebrow, the dimples, the curve of his cheek.
It was difficult to breathe.
“I-I didn’t expect to see you here.”
He smiled and something in her gut quivered. “I didn’t expect to see you.” He took a step closer. And another. “You… look good.” His throat worked.
“You, ah, you too.” Good was not the word.
She’d drooled over the TV screen Sunday nights when Blood Curse came on—the few times she’d dared to watch. Jason as a tormented vampire was irresistible. But his screen persona was nothing to his presence here now. He was like a beautiful spider’s web, luring her closer for one more glance when she knew, if she came too close, she would be trapped, consumed.
Her instincts told her to run.
She resolved not to. She resolved to face him. And be…civil.
To that end, she smiled. It was a light, flippant smile. It cost her. “Aren’t you supposed to be having a parade or something?”
A shadow passed over his features, as though he didn’t care for her blasé air. “Or something.” He shoved his hands in his pockets.
“You really shouldn’t miss it.”
“Shouldn’t I?” He got that tone, the one he used to get when he was feeling rebellious and truculent. He’d never used it on her before.
“Eden will be devastated.”
“Oh, well, God forbid I disappoint Eden Ames.” He strolled around her, taking her in, though she turned with him because it seemed the prudent thing to do. One did not turn one’s back on a petulant panther.
“She dislikes being disappointed.”
This seemed to annoy him. The muscle in his cheek tightened and bunched. He leaned in and hissed, “Fuck Eden Ames. Fuck all of them.”
She didn’t know why she lurched back. His vehemence, perhaps, the heat of his breath, or the vitriol. But she lurched back and kept going, as he followed, until she backed into a tree.
He loomed over her, far too close. And Lord, yes. He was much taller. He smelled the same though, like musk and man and Jason. She’d missed his scent. She’d missed it so much she was tempted to close her eyes and just breathe it in, fill her lungs with him until she could hold no more.
But she couldn’t close her eyes. Her gaze was riveted to his.
Tension crackled and spit between them.
When he edged closer, she set a hand on his chest. To hold him back. Probably. His heart thudded beneath her palm.
He was harder than he used to be. Oh, physically, certainly, but in other ways as well. There was a coldness in his eyes she’d never seen before.
It frightened her. And thrilled her.
She flinched when he lifted a hand and cupped her cheek. His touch was warm, gentle. He didn’t say anything, just stared at her, which was unnerving. But when he spoke, his words were more unnerving still, though whispered as they were. “Dear God, Gina, how are you even prettier?”
“I—”
He didn’t let her answer. His mouth closed over hers in a heated rush. A dizzying hunger snarled through her as she tasted him on her tongue. Yes, her soul cried, yes! Yes!
He moved closer, pressing her against the tree, sealing their bodies and their mouths and ravishing her with an unleashed passion.
She’d forgotten. Well, maybe not forgotten, but certainly released her hold on the memory. It was far too painful to live without him. To wake up every day knowing her life was devoid of the brilliance he brought.
Now it all came rushing back in a scorching tide, swamping her, spinning her about and sweeping her quickly toward the oblivion of the fall.
His kiss was a tumult. It was passion and need and wild frenzy. It was lips and teeth and tongues. It was murmured whispers and muffled moans.
He shoved his fingers through her hair to hold her still, then tipped her head and ate his way down to her neck, to nuzzle her there as he once had done. To make her wild and mad. To make her succumb when she really knew better.
She knew better now. She knew where this could lead, what catastrophe they taunted.
And the true tragedy?
She didn’t care.
She didn’t care that this could ruin her, devastate her, burn her up from the inside out.
She didn’t care.
Kiss me. Take me. Destroy me.

My Review:
I have only had the pleasure of reading Heartbreak on a Stick by Sabrina York from this collection. If the rest of the stories in this collection are even half as good as Heartbreak on a Stick, then this is going to be an awesome collection to read!
I am a huge fan of Sabrina York. She has a way of writing fun but touching characters that have a way of finding their way into my heart. This talented lady also has a masterful way of writing steamy scenes that may almost melt your Kindle. So for goodness sake grab a COLD drink, find a comfy chair and settle in for some awesome reading time.
Heartbreak on a Stick is a great reunion story. Gina and Jason were high school sweethearts and then torn apart by situations that neither was in control of. When Jason returns to town the sparks are still there between these and they turn flammable quite quickly. However there is many things that they both need to know before they are able to make a relationship between them work for the second time.
I love reunion romances because they already share a past together and it is so much fun watching them get to know each other and how much they have changed.
This really is an awesome story. I had a horrible time setting this down. I loved the Characters of Gina and Jason, and Lucy, Kiki, Marie, Brace, & Candy. Kiki is just beyond adorable and I loved how Gina and Jason as well as the rest of the charters interacted with her. This little girl is not only adorable but has the cutest personality.
The one thing I found interesting is that all the people that wanted nothing to do with Jason before he left town, now can't get close enough to him. I think this is probably true of lot of stars returning to their hometowns. It's was nice to see Jason remember who his friends really were though.
I don't want to tell you too much about this story. I will tell you that there is plenty of drama, suspense, romance, ooo lots of steam, great family interaction, and over all just one really awesome story. Of course this story was written by the fabulous Sabrina York so of course I loved it and found it to be an entertaining read. I just adore this talented author and can't get enough of her work.
If you are already a Sabrina York fan then you need to grab this collection for this story if nothing else. However I see a lot of talented authors names on this box set so I have a feeling there are a LOT of awesome stories included in here.
I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on HeartBreak on a Stick.
You may find more of my reviews on Sabrina York's work Here..

Declan Cage set her heart to pitter-pat.

She touched her chest
and groused, “You’re not attracted to him, Tiffany.”

Tucking a piece of sable
brown hair behind her ear, she straightened her shoulders and put on her
toothy-white smile.

“Good morning,” she said
when he entered the building.

“Morning, Ms. Brooks.”
She observed him coming
toward her desk and willed her face to look pleasant, yet restrained. She
needed to keep her gaze particularly uninterested in him although the smug
politeness she plastered across her features was hard to accomplish. Declan had
a swagger that made her want to gawk at him.

“I’m fine,” she said.
“And you?”
“And you?”
“Fabulous.”
Her response was a
blank-faced, “I’m sorry. I’m not good with names.”

He crinkled his brow,
and the muscle in his jaw flexed. Yeah.
There it was. The look. She’d definitely gotten under his skin.

“I’m Declan.” He turned
slightly to show her his back and gestured over his shoulder toward the logo.
The silver skull ring he wore on his thumb gleamed. “From DC Construction,” he
said. She couldn’t help but notice the way his muscles bulged beneath the
shirt.

She knew who he was and
had immediately recognized him the first time he sauntered into the office over
a month ago. She’d played it cool then, and she’d play it cool now. Besides,
revealing her little secret would be nothing but detrimental. Yet even if it
were a dangerous game, she loved bugging the hell out of him with her “I’m bad
with names” thing, especially since she imagined he wasn’t used to a woman
forgetting him.

Continuing with the “I’m
a busy professional who’s not impressed by you” farce, she casually glanced at
her laptop, flipped the lid closed, then looked back up at him. “How may I help
you today?”

“Plans for the Cherry
Hills project, right?”

Declan smiled, and his
dimples made an appearance through the brownish stubble on his face. Tiffany
shook her legs beneath her desk a couple of times then stopped the nervous
movement, glad he couldn’t see them.

“Yes,” he said. “For the

She rolled her chair
back and stood, sliding her hands down the sides of her hips, hoping to smooth
out any wrinkles in her skirt and secretly wishing to bring attention to her
curves. She removed her sweater so the silk and lace tank top hidden beneath
could be seen. When she flopped the garment over the back of her chair, she
straightened her spine and pressed her ample breasts out.

Satisfied she’d given
him a fairly good view of her hourglass figure, she glanced up. Declan stood
beside her, and even though she wore four-inch heels, he towered above her. His
height sort of intimidated her, but her body didn’t seem to impress him.

Crap.
He pulled a cell phone
from the leather holder hooked to his jeans and stared at the screen. “Sorry,”
he said in a bored tone. “I forgot to send a text.” His fingers tapped. He put
the phone away in a lackadaisical manner. “Lead on.”

Unwilling to let his
lack of interest faze her, she gave Declan her back and walked. “The plans are
in Mr. Stoub’s office.”

“Super,” he said.
She sashayed across the
room with her chin held high, stopping at the marble counter across from the
conference room and pointed toward the fancy coffee maker. “There’s fresh
coffee. Can I get you some?”

“Mm.” She continued
toward the office, Declan following behind her. “Well.…” After walking in, she
eyed several elongated white tubes sitting on top of the oversized desk and gestured
toward one wingback chair. “Have a seat. It will take me a second or two to
find the right drawings.” She walked around the office furniture as Declan sat
on the edge of the chair. Picking up one tube, she read the label. “Sawyer,”
she said and set it down in too much of a rush. Her hand accidently hit the
other containers. They jostled and started to roll. She tried to stop their
momentum, but several of the cylinders went over the side and hit the ground.
“Geez Louise.” Tiffany sidestepped and bent to get them.

Declan had already
jumped up to help her.

“Here, let me,” he said,
coming to her side and squatting next to her.

When he reached for the
mess, his right arm brushed against the top portion of her left shoulder. She
sucked in a breath at the contact and thought her heart would stop from the
frisson of energy snapping over her skin. Every part of her body became aware
of him. He was potent. And virile. A rough, intoxicating man in his prime.

Refusing to be reduced
to a quivering weakling, she reminded herself he was only a man, akin to any
other, and turned to see his face. “Thank you.”

He met her gaze.
“Anytime.”

Those eyes. The color of the sea. Deep, blue-green, and
fathomless.

Who was she trying to
kid? Declan Cage wasn’t just any man. She looked away and focused on something
else.

Tiffany fixed her
attention on the clutter she’d created, but she was still watching him—staring
at his large hands while he gathered up the blueprint holders. She licked her
lips and pictured those hands on her body, fondling her.

“I think this is what
you’re here for,” she said and tugged one tube out of his grip. “Cherry Hills.”
She turned the container around so the label faced him. He nodded. “I’ll trade
you.” She switched her lone cylinder with his three, tucking one up against her
side before she straightened and went to the desk. “I’ve tried to get Mr. Stoub

Carefully, Tiffany
placed each blueprint tube alongside the others on the desktop and watched to
make sure she wasn’t going to have any runaways. When she was satisfied they
were going to stay in place, she glanced up.

Declan had already taken
the plans out and unrolled them, eyeing the specs where he stood.

“Great.”
He slightly turned the
large parchment. The cords in his tanned forearms worked, jumping beneath the
light smattering of crisp sun-bronzed hair. His biceps flexed. She focused on
the tattoo. The tatt wandered up his right arm and kept going—the end hidden
beneath the material of his T-shirt. She made a fist, trying to stop the itch
to trace the colorful artwork imprinted on him, and studied the width of his
shoulders and breadth of his chest instead. Compelled, her gaze lowered to his
jeans. Oh, my. The denim was worn
white in all the right places.
