Crazy for you is the first book I have had the chance to read by Rachel Lacey. There is no way it will be the last. Wow! Ms. Lacey captivated my attention right away and held me completely spellbound with a tantalizing story line and charming characters.
Emma Rush is the prefect example of a good girl. She does what she should do, goes where she should go, and so far has dated those boring guys she thinks she should be dating. Then one night out on the town with the girls and things change. Oh boy do they change. She is determined to let her wild side show and be just a little bad with a bad boy.
Emma has not had a easy life. She's suffered a lot of heartache. She is sweet, independent, maybe a touch spunky, and a good friend. I found an instant connection with Emma.
Ryan Blake was tending bar the night that Emma plotted her bad girl plan. Ryan promised Emma's brother he would watch over her and protect her when he went off to war. When he didn't return Ryan still feels obligated to keep his promise and not take advantage of Emma. Ryan may look like a bad boy, he may have the bad boy attire but he's a good guy at heart. How could you help but fall for this guy? He's kind, a good friend, a good business man, and will defend those he loves with all he has.
Emma and Ryan have this incredible chemistry that they have been fighting. Oh boy one kiss and these two know it's more than just a little spark. I loved watching these two that have known each other for so many years learn more about each other. When they finally give into the smoldering attraction the fire works are incredible. They have so many many things they are going to have to handle and over come if they are going to find a happily ever after together.
There are little side stories along the way that I enjoyed. There is a surprise visitor for Ryan. I don't want to tell you too much because you are going to want to read this story.
I love the friendships in this story. The girls and guys have close strong friendships. They can lean on each other for support and advise. Sometimes they may not want to listen to the advice but in the end it's probably the thing to do.
I really enjoyed this book. I found Rachel Lacey to have a very nice writing style that held my attention with a great story line. I loved the Characters I quickly bonded with them all and I can't wait to read more of this series.
This is the second book in the series but I found it could stand on it's own just fine. I wasn't missing any details that made me feel like I wasn't getting my enjoyments worth from this story line.
