Q&A with Katee Robert
Q: What are you currently working on?
A:I just started working on the sixth (and final) O’Malley book, which will feature Dmitri Romanov and Keira O’Malley.
Q: Where did you come up with the idea for either your current release or your current WIP?
A: I always knew that Sloan would be leaving Boston behind, but I didn’t know how her hero would fit into the grand scheme of things. I was brainstorming with a friend of mine and trying to figure out how a hitman would just happen to live next door to Sloan when I was smacked right in the face with the perfect connection – What if the hitman was there because of whose house she was in? The MacNamara family’s fate has been this truth in the O’Malley world, and it all clicked together that maybe there was a son who got away…and wanted vengeance.
Q: Do you have a favorite snack that like to munch on while writing? If so would you mind sharing what it is with us?
A: I try to stick with healthy stuff, but when I’m deep in deadline mode, I devour peanut M&Ms. They just hit the spot like whoa.
Q:When you are not busy writing wonderful stories to keep us lucky readers entertained, what do you like to do? Do you have a hobby?
A: I’ve recently taken up knitting, and I’m well on my way to being a yarn addict. I’ve created a great shawl, I’m tackling socks, and I’m currently working my way through two mystery knit-a-longs, which are entirely too much fun!
Q: Do you have a favorite background noise you like to having going while you write (TV, Music, kids playing)?
A: I have a toddler, so my house is never silent, but I prefer to put together some kind of playlist or Pandora station to have going in the background while I write to keep me in the “feel” of the book.
