#Review - Fooling Around With Cinderella by Stacy Juba ~ Storybook Valley #1

Fooling Around with Cinderella is the first book I have had the chance to read by Stacy Juba. It most certainly will not be my last. Ms. Juba has a lovely writing voice that was enjoyable to read. The Characters are well written with unique characteristics that made for a creatiive storyline that kept me entertained. I have to say I would love to visit Storybook Valley. It sounds like a fun place to visit and Ms. Juba has created attraction and characters that I would love to see. She has done a fabulous job of creating not only a wonderful story but a fun setting that is well described.

Jaine Andersen is the good girl and good sister that does everything for everyone and makes their life easier. She is what she considers a plain Jaine girl. When playing Cinderella is part of her new job requirement she doesn't know how she is going to pull off playing a princess. She has such a huge heart and is great with children. I found a quick attachment and bond to Jaine. She is the perfect character to go from the every day lady to a fine princess decked out in the Cinderella costume.

Jaine's new boss Dylan Callahan is trying to prove he is what Storybook Valley needs for management. He's trying to show his family that he is not just the wild playboy that likes to party. The attraction between Dylan and Jaine is fun and so forbidden that they try so hard to fight their feelings. I loved watching the relationship between Jaine and Dylan grow and change.

Then there is the wicked witch that is out to put an end to what could be Jaine and Dylan's fairytale ending. She creates drama and mischief in so many ways. She's just not a nice lady and is a huge thorn in Jaine's side and Dylan's too (he just doesn't know it yet).

Overall I really enjoyed this story. Stacy Juba has done a fabulous job of creating what feels like a real life fairytale with a fun setting, a great storyline, and characters I can't wait to read more about.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Fooling Around with Cinderella.

#Review - Richard's Relics by Grace Augustine ~ Acorn Hills

Are you looking for that perfect book that is going to touch every emotion? Oh my do I have a recommendation for you. Richard's Relics by Grace Augustine is one of those books that touched each and every emotion. I most certainly am issuing a Kleenex warning on this one. Grab your copy of Richard's Relics, grab the Kleenex box, and settle in for a fabulous story.

I have loved each and everyone of the Acorn Hills series books. They are all wonderful. I didn't realize just how much I had missed Acorn Hills and all my friends there until I started reading Richard's Relics. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone and see how they were doing.

Richard Dempsey has been through so much. Since returning from serving his country in Vietnam, life hasn't been easy. The dreams and memories are still so real he has a hard time dealing with everything. He has been in love with his childhood friend, Jillian for so long but doesn't want her to have to deal with his issues.

Richard and his pal David along with another member of their squad return to Saigon to try to slay all those memories and try to get past the past. I won't tell you what happens after that. I will tell you that drama, fear, tears, and love play a big part in this book.

Grace Augustine has put her heart, soul, and a boat load of  tears into this wonderful story. She has captured all the emotions and drama of what I am sure a lot of men and women have felt when they return home for serving our great country. The description and feelings that are so well described certainly tugged at my heart.

My emotions were all over the place while reading this book. I loved catching up with Jillian, Ginger, Denise, Richard, David, and Jillian's kids again. It was great to visit with everyone, stopping in at all my favorite business owned by this fabulous group of friends. My heart broke for Richard, David, Jillian, and Denise. The drama and experience they endure is overwhelming and so well written that I went through with them.

Each book in this series has been fabulous and I been captivated by each book. I think Richard's Relics just might be my favorite so far. It's backed with drama, joy, laughter, trauma, tears, friends, family, and a whole lot of love.

I just heard there is a new Holiday Acorn Hills book out now too. I will be getting my hands on that right away. I can not wait to read it and see what Ms. Augustine has written for us now.

I was given the opportunity to read this fabulous story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thought with you.

You may find my reviews on more of Grace Augustine's work here.

#Review - The Lawman's Christmas Proposal by Barbara White Daille - The Hitching Post Hotel #3

The Lawman's Christmas Proposal is the first book I have had a chance to read by Barbara White Daille. What better place to start then with a Christmas story? I love Christmas stories!!! Barbara White Daille has written a wonderful story that left me with that wonderful feeling that only a Christmas romance story can bring.

Andi and her two kids have been through a traumatic loss. When Andi's husband was killed she has had to pick up her life and try to put the pieces back together. Her Grandfather Jed  has Andi come home and help out with the new wedding business at The Hitching Post Hotel. Jed has more on his mind then just helping Andi get through the holidays though. He's known for his match making and he has a perfect match lined up for Andi.

Mitch Weston has returned home to recover from an injury he suffered in the line of duty as a police officer. When he runs into his high school sweetheart, Andi, the attraction and feelings are still there.  Mitch loves his job as a lawman.

Jed comes up with some really interesting ways to get Mitch and Andi in the same places.  There is plenty of family meddling going on in this story. I love when the families are involved.

Barbara White Daille has created a wonderful story that is set at the perfect time of year. I really enjoyed reading Andi and Mitch's story. They have so many different obstacles that are set to keep them apart but a loving family that is doing everything in their power to pull them together.

This is the third book in The Hitching Post Hotel series. I didn't have any problem reading it as a stand alone. I would love to read more of the series and I'm anxious to read more books by Barbara White Daille. She has a lovely writing style that had me completely absorbed in the story quickly. The characters full of charisma with compelling histories that made for a great read.

I was given the opportunity to read this great book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on The Lawman's Christmas Proposal.
