Darker Than Desire by Shiloh Walker ~ Secrets & Shadows #3 ~ Review ~

This series has left me breathless so many times. It's broke my heart, made me sad, and had me cheer when the bad guys got theirs. It has captivated my attention from the beginning to the end of each book and left me impatiently waiting for the next book. I have grown to admire each and everyone of the main characters.

Darker Than Desire reveals many many secrets and is very dramatic. Shiloh Walker has done a fabulous job of writing a wonderful series that deals with a very dark subject. She has made the characters so real with so many emotions that I found myself cheering for these folks to overcome the horrible things that have happened to them and to find happiness.

Sybil Chalmers is a strong lady with many admirable traits. Sybil has taken on raising her young nephew because her sister is just not capable. She loves him very much and wants what is best for him. I admired this lady for all that she has been through with her wild and troubled sister and for loving her adorable nephew so much.

I am not sure I should reveal the male character in this book because it's not listed in the blurb. We learned a big secret at the end of the Sweeter Than Sin that leads into the storyline of Darker Than Desire. The male hero has been through so much! He has been abused, broken, and tried to go on with life in a different community. After all that he has been through he is afraid he is unable to love and does not want his past to taint Sybil's life.

For Sybil it's too late she has loved him for a long time. Now she just has to wait for him to see that he is lovable and loves her right back.

There is so much drama in this book. I could not help but quickly turn the pages to see what Ms. Walker had planned these characters next. There are several sad moments and a few really tense moments that left me holding my breath to see how the characters were going to get out of some really intense situations. There are also a few nice and steamy moments. The attraction between these two is just plain combustible.

I have really enjoyed all three of the books in this series. I have been anxious to read Darker than Desire to find out some of the ongoing secrets in the series. I was completely shocked by a few things that were revealed. I never suspected one of the major culprits. I did not see the evil that was lurking behind a false sense of goodness.

I could go on and on about this very dramatic series and Darker Than Desire, itself. However it's such a great series that I don't want to spoil the plot, any of secrets, or the mysteries that are unveiled. If you enjoy Shiloh Walker's work then you really need to grab up this series. If you have not read the first two in the series you might want to consider reading them first. I don't think you would have a problem reading this as a stand alone but there are so many things that lead up to the answer revealed I think you are going to want to know the whole complete story. It's quite a story at that. Like I said this does deal with a dark subject matter. Please keep that in mind. It is a great story though and deals with so many emotional issues. It's well written with characters that are charismatic, charming in their own way, heartfelt, and very likable.

I was given the opportunity to read this great book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Darker than Desire

Sweeter Than Sin by Shiloh Walker ~ Secrets & Shadows #2 ~ Review

I could not wait to read Sweeter Than Sin after reading Deeper Than Need. This is a great series that deals with some very dark issues. Shiloh Walker is a very talented author that has created a great mystery that left me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and who was going to do it.

Sweeter Than Sin  deals with Adam's part in the story. Adam has some issues of his own and has dealt with them in various ways. He's drank his sorrows away and then found comfort in the arms of many many women. However he just can not let go of the secret promise he made 20 years ago. It haunts him that he may have been able to help a friend that was in need.

I really liked Adam even though he started of the serious playboy that would sleep with any woman. I could see that Adam really is a nice guy that really does want to help everyone. He goes through some really rough times in this book.

I hate to give too much away, it really doesn't say much about the mystery lady that is in town. I hate to tell you who she is because that may spoil part of the story for you. However I will tell you that she is in town to reveal things from the past and maybe just maybe find out some of the things she doesn't remember from her own past. She has dealt with a lot in her life as well. She has fault additions just like Adam. When these two connect they add some really hot steam to the storyline.

There are so many things happening in this town. I commented a few times that Shiloh was keeping me in suspense making me wonder who a few of the mystery people where. There are many twists and turns and unbelievable mysteries revealed. HOWEVER there are still some things that remain unknown! I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I will be anxiously awaiting it's release.

Even though this story does deal with some very dark demons it also deals with some really great people that are there to help those that have been affected by the monsters.

Shiloh Walker is one really talented author that can keep me on the edge of my seat with a mystery and keep my kindle running a little on the warm side from the steamy scenes.

Like I said I have had the pleasure of reading Deeper Than Need so I have read the first book in this series. However I think Ms. Walker has done a fine job of explaining the past in this book that you could read it as a stand alone. Although Deeper Than Need is a pretty great read so you may want to pick it up as well.

Deeper Than Need by Shiloh Walker ~ Secrets & Shadows #1 ~ Review

I have to say the more I read of Shiloh Walker's work the more amazed I am by her talent. Ms.Walker is very talented and I always enjoy each book I have the chance to read.

Deeper than Need reached out and grabbed my attention from page one and sure did not let go even at the end. I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

Trinity Ewing and her young son Micah have been through so much, they are in need of a fresh start in a new place. So they buy a old fixer up house. Little do they know what they are getting themselves into. OH my goodness, someone should have told this poor woman more about the house she was buying.

Trinity has no intention of ending her single status. She's just gotten done with a rotten marriage that was worse then even she suspected. She plans on staying single, that is until she meets the very handsome and sweet Noah. Noah has been through a lot in his life as well. These two have so much baggage between the two of them and so many emotional wounds they just might be perfect for each other.

I don't want to tell you too much about this dramatic, suspense filled story, but I will tell you there is a lot going on around town. There are many dark secrets that are being kept, people are missing, accidents are happening, and I think there is more to be revealed later on. This is one amazing page turner of a book. If I found myself not able to set this book down. When I got close to the end there was not setting it down, I had to finish it and find out what in the world was going to happen.

I loved watching Trinity, Micah, and Noah form their relationships. I loved how Noah interacted with Micah. Micah is one sweet, smart, adorable, and active little boy. He has no problem getting himself into some mischief that under covers something. Yes, that is all I am going to tell you about that.

I can not wait to read more of this series and see what else Shiloh Walker has planned for this town that is full of secrets. I will be anxiously awaiting the release of the next book. I anxiously await the release of all Shiloh Walker's books though. They are all great.

If you enjoy a very suspenseful romance that is full of drama and secrets you really need to check out this series. Oh yes, did I mention there are some steamy scenes as well? If this sounds like your kind of book, don't wait HURRY! Go grab your copy of Deeper Than Need
