EXCERPT:

Her words came out in a whisper. “Thank you for everything. For coming to my rescue, for…” She was saying goodbye, yet her chin tilted toward his and she took a step closer, her lips barely parted, inviting. She peered up at him and met his gaze with a look that was surprisingly heated, decidedly predatory. There was no mistaking it. Melissa wanted him too. That was all the encouragement Stone needed to take her in his arms and bring his mouth down on hers with a hungry desire that surpassed all expectations.

Melissa gasped with delight and sighed into his kiss. Stone’s empty mug slid from her grasp and landed somewhere on the sofa. Stone pressed his eager body to hers and ran his hands up her back, threading his fingers through her hair. She was glorious, beautiful, her gaze sparking with reciprocal passion. Stone groaned and kissed her again, savoring the taste of her, delighting in the sweetness of her body molded to his, as his blood pumped harder and his heart beat like a kettledrum gone out of control. It was more than a kiss; it was like coming home.

“Stone,” she said breathlessly. He opened his eyes to find his cheeks nestled between her palms.

She looked up at him her face flushed with longing. “I think you’d better go.”
“Yeah,” he said, his pulse pounding. “I’d better go.”

Thunder boomed and rain slapped the windowpanes, while the fire hissed and moaned.
Neither one moved.

“Melissa,” Stone whispered, brushing his lips over hers. “You and me… It’s like… I don’t know.”

“I know,” she replied, meeting his kiss. “I feel it too.”

The Getaway Groom by Ginny Baird ~Summer Grooms Series Book 4 ~ Review ~

I have not yet met a Ginny Baird story that I did not enjoy immensely. Ms. Baird creates from fun characters that have interesting personalities that makes for some fun story lines.

The Getaway Groom starts out with plenty of drama as Mark Delacroix runs away from his wedding. He ends up in Ivy Green's store and makes a complete mess of things. It's not long and Ivy has Mark cleaning up literally.

Things don't start off well for Mark and Ivy.  As they get to know each other though they find that they truly like each other. Ivy is a small town girl with hometown values. She is not pleased with Mark and a few of his plans for the town. That is until she finds out that Mark really does have some great ideas to help the town. This increases those intense sparks.

I think my favorite part of the story is when Mark tells Ivy's ex that he is her boyfriend. They are going to attend the ex's wedding together. As they get to know each other to be a pretend date things turn more real as time goes on.

I always enjoy Ginny Baird's fun sweet romantic stories. I always fall for her characters and I enjoy her writing style.

If you are looking for a fun sweet romance, then you really should pick up one of Ginny Baird's books. I'd recommend this one. It's a lot of fun but all her books are really great.

The Getaway Groom is part of a series. I have not read the other books in this series and I had no problem at all reading it as a stand alone, so I don't think you will either.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on The Getaway Groom

Santa Fe Fortune by Ginny Baird ~Girls on the Go #1~ Review

I have had the opportunity to read several books by Ginny Baird now. Santa Fe Fortune is another example of her awesome sweet romance stories. Ms. Baird has created a really sweet love at first sight story that I could not help but adore.

I will admit I don't usually judge a book by it's cover but when I seen the cover of this book it just looked like something I would enjoy. Oh my was I ever right.

Gwendolyn Marsh is on a mission to sell her work and to help her family. She is determined to make this trip a success. When she meets Dan Holbrook at the gallery, they form an instant bond. I really enjoyed watching these two get to know each other and fall in love. They have many things they must overcome, including living half a country apart, before they can be together.

I enjoyed the descriptions of the the places they visited. Ginny Baird did a great job describing some of the sights of New Mexico.

If you enjoy a sweet romantic story that leaves you with one of those "aww" feeling moments I think you will enjoy this book. I know I certainly did.

I see this is part of the Girls on the Go series so I'm really looking forward to see what other wonderful stories Ginny Baird will add to this series. I know I will be on the look out for them.

I was given the opportunity to read this book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts about Santa Fe Fortune with you.

Special Delivery (A Valentine's Short Story) by Ginny Baird ~ Review ~

When I start a Ginny Baird book I know I am in for a very enjoyable, sweet read. Special Delivery is certainly no exception to this.

Amanda Holiday is expecting their first child any day while her husband is deployed. Amanda is ready though, her best friend has stepped up to the roll of birthing coach. She has taken her role seriously and checks on Amanda several times a day. I thought this was so sweet. She wants to make sure she is there and ready when Amanda and the new little one need her. Amanda has already went a few days over her due date, so the little one could choose to make an appearance at any moment.

Luke, Amanda's husband, is in a sticky situation of his own. I don't want to tell you exactly what is happening to Luke but it sure does add some serious suspense to the story.

When Amanda finally goes in labor she is in for a HUGE surprise. She gets the one thing she really wants as she is about to deliver her baby. Once again I don't want to give away the surprise. It is a good one though.

Ms. Baird has once again written a wonderfully sweet romantic story just in time for Valentine's Day. If you are looking for a sweet short story to sweeten your Valentine's Day I suggest you pick this one up.  If you are a fan of Ginny Baird I know you are going to love her latest masterpiece. If you have never read her work, grab Special Delivery, I think you will enjoy it.

The Holiday Brides Collection Books 1 - 4 By Ginny Baird ~ Review ~

This wonderful collection of stories by Ginny Baird contains the first four books in her Holiday Brides Series. These were all wonderfully sweet romantic stories that I could not put down. I have a special fondness for Christmas stories so all of these stories hold a special place in my heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Christmas Catch Holiday Brides #1:
Christine White has such a full plate. Since she lost her husband, she has been a single mother, raising an adorable, intelligent four year old son. She is in desperate need of some time to recharge and spend some quality time with her son. Her best friend, whom is also her boss sends her to Vermont to house sit. I found it so sweet that Christine's friend saw how much Christine needed this get away.
Little does Christine know she is about to meet handsome, wonderful, and helpful John Steadman. John seems to pop up in all the the right places to run into Christine and her son until they finally make plans to meet again. These two become instant friends and John shows Christine and Tyler all the fun things to do in Vermont. I really liked that John included Tyler in all the outings with Christine and found things that Tyler would enjoy doing as well.
I really enjoyed reading John and Christine's story. The Christmas Catch is a wonderful sweet romance story.
The Holiday Bride Holiday Brides #2:
I have to say that this was my favorite story in the collection. They were all fabulous but I LOVED this story. Lucy West has a jerk of a fiance' that she is about to marry. He's just not the right person for her. When she disappears for a few days he doesn't even know she has been gone. What a butt head!
However Lucy takes a fall on the side walk and that is when everything changes. She ends up with a wonderful family that helps her figure out what is going on. William Kinkaid's little girl is certain that Lucy has been left as a surprise from Santa. You see she wants a new mommy and she thinks Lucy will fit that bill just perfectly.
There are many twist and turns, some really sweet family moments, some sweet romantic moments, and a bit of mystery. I just adored this story. I have to admit that I could not put this story down until I was finished. All the books in this wonderful collections are fairly short and can be read in a short amount of time. Which is great if you are looking for a feel good Holiday story just before bed, or anytime.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mistletoe in Maine Holiday Brides #3:

really enjoyed this story as well. Carol Baker wanted to take her children on a Christmas vacation that they would never forget. When she finds the Love Inn located in Maine she thinks she has found the perfect vacation spot. She doesn't know if she can truly afford the vacation but in the end I don't think she could have afforded not to take this vacation.

Paul Love is thinking of retiring from the inn life since he lost his wife. He plans this to be his last Christmas as an inn Owner. So when the Baker family arrives and a few members of Paul's own family arrive as well it makes for an intimate Christmas holiday. I loved the family aspect of this book. I thought it was sweet that they all became one big family for the holiday. They do many things together and show the kids a really fun White Christmas. Paul and Carol hit it off right away and there is chemistry between these two. Can they find a way to make it work for them after Carol and the kids go back home?

Once again this is another one of those feel good stories that left me with the farm fuzzy feeling when I was finished reading it. I would highly recommend this whole set to all my fellow Christmas story fans out there. If you are already a fan of Ginny Baird I know you are going to love this collection. If you have not read her work yet this is a great way to give her stories a chance.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beach Blanket Santa Holiday Brides #4:
Christmas on the beach, what could be more perfect? Except when a winter storm is blowing in and leaves everyone on the island stranded for a few days.
Sarah Anderson's friend insist that she take a vacation over the Christmas Holiday, and that she make use of the beach house. She won't take no for an answer so Sarah heads off for her Beach Holiday. Little does she know that Matt Salvatore has also been instructed that he needs a break. He too is planning to spend the holiday at the beach house.
These two have a past together that embarrasses Sarah and that Matt doesn't quite understand. This makes for some interesting moments and a few twists and turns at the beach house. I really enjoyed watching Sarah and Matt REALLY get to know each other. It turns out they have more in common then they thought and they have a lot of fun together. By time they can leave the island are they really going to want to? I'm going to let you grab a copy and find out for yourself.
I have become a big fan of Ginny Baird's work. She writes the sweetest romances that leave you with those warm fuzzy feelings. She also adds a lot of humor and I love to laugh when I am reading a book. If you have not read her work yet I suggest you give one of these a try. You don't need to read them in order because they stand alone. I hear Ms. Baird has a new book coming out soon, I can't wait to read it.
I was given the opportunity to read this book to share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts on this great collection of stories.
