#Review ~ The Me I Used to Be by Jennifer Ryan ~ @JenRyan_author @avonbooks

My Review:

The Me I Used to Be: A Novel by [Ryan, Jennifer]I became a Jennifer Ryan fan from the very first book I read. She has such a fantastic writing style that truly catches my attention from the very first page and holds me spellbound until the very end. Trust me when I say The Me I Used To Be is certainly not an exception. I enjoyed this book so much.

Evangeline Austen has been serving time in prison for a crime she did not commit. She has held on to a secret about what she knows and has not revealed any of those details to anyone, including her family. She is granted parole after the officer that arrested her arrives at her parole hearing with the news that her father has passed away. That is just the beginning of the drama for Evangeline.

I bonded so quickly with Evangeline. I liked her spunk, her caring, her willingness to do what needs to be done so she can get her life turned around, and the way she protects her family to the best of her ability even when they don't understand why or how she is protecting them and doing her darndest to get them everything they want and need to happy and secure in the feature. The lady has so many issues going on and none of them are of her doing. She is one kick-butt lady that has a good head for business and a deep love for her family even if they are a bit cold to her in the beginning.

Evangeline and Chris Chambers start out with a bit of a rocky relationship. She's so hurt that he was the one that arrested her for a crime she didn't commit. He does his best to help her with what she has to do and help her to stay safe. There is a deep attraction between these two that has been smoldering for a while. Chris is one of those good guys that just wants to help the woman he has had feelings for that have been simmering for so long.

I loved watching Chris and Evangeline work through the issues from the past and find that there is a friendship there that is just as deep and strong as their attraction. They work well together and get things taken care of. I won't tell you more about that. You are going to want to read the suspense and drama for yourself. I know I was kept captivated by the story, the drama, and threat of danger. Ms. Ryan wrote an incredible story with plenty of suspense and drama to keep this reader glued to her seat flipping pages as quickly as possible.

I just completely loved this story. I loved Evangeline and Chris, I loved Evangeline working through the dramas from her past and her caring way of digging in to help keep the family Ranch running and running smoothly. This lady has it all going on she's sweet, kind, caring, strong, independent and just a touch of vindictive when she wants justice. Her time in prison was not easy. She suffered many many hard times and danger. She wants justice and she is willing to put herself in harm's way to get it. Thank goodness she has Chris to be her backup.

If you are looking for a fabulous book that is going to keep you glued to your seat, holding your breath, laughing, and crying then you have to grab The Me I Used to Be. If you are already a Jennifer Ryan fan like I am, you are going to love this book. If you haven't read a Jennifer Ryan novel and are looking for a really good romantic suspense with plenty of heartfelt drama, family issues, romance, mystery, and just one really darn good story then grab this one. I know you are not going to be disappointed. I know I sure wasn't.

I was given the opportunity to read this incredible book and it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
