My Review:
Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses just sounds like a fun read doesn't it? The name, the cover, and the fact that it is a Christmas book grabbed my attention right away. I just adore Christmas books. I devour just as man of them as I can this time of year. Honestly, I would read a good Christmas book at any time of the year though.
Abbey Fuller is one of those characters that I bonded with right away. She's a sweet, smart, fierce, independent single Mom. She's doing a great job raising her adorable son, Max. That boy is just too sweet and too cute. He found a place in my heart quickly.
Nick Sinclair is a busy man that has all the money and power anyone could ever need. He is married to his business and works like crazy in honor of his father's memory. That's all he has though. He's focused on work. His Grandmother lives on the same land as him but in another house. He really loves his family, he just stinks at connecting with them.
That changes a bit when he hires Abbey to decorate his house to get it ready for the Christmas holiday with his family. Max wraps this guy around his finger without even trying. The kid is sweet and smart and I think Nick sees himself a little bit in this adorable energy-filled little guy.
Abbey and Nick have an attraction to each other and form a friendship right away. It was fun watching these two get to know each other. I love it when there is a child involved in the relationship it adds in another mix. You can really see the bond not only between the couple getting to know each other but see how they bond as a family unit and get to know each other in that sense too.
This is the first book I have had to chance to read by Jenny Hale and I really enjoyed her writing style. I know that I will certainly be on the lookout for more books by her. I saw a few more Christmas stories that I would love to read.
If you are looking for a good Christmas story with great characters, and a fun storyline I think you will enjoy this one. I know I sure did.
I was given the opportunity to read this great book and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
