Q&A with Vanessa Vale:

Q: What are your favorite TV shows?
A: I don't watch TV. I have to read People magazine to know what's going on. I do, however, watch things on Netflix. House of Cards was good, so was Mozart in the Jungle.

Q: What is your favorite meal?
A: My husband is Italian and so I love a good plate of spaghetti and meatballs. Homemade everything.

Q: If you were to write a series of novels, what would it be about?
A: I like to write series books because world building is fun. The Bridgewater Ménage Series has many, many cowboys, at least two per book (!) and will continue on, and on...and on. The Wildflowers of Montana series has eight books. Each woman in the Lenox family has her own story. While it's the same world, I enjoy writing the different women's tales because they are all so different. Rose is headstrong, Hyacinth is shy and Dahlia is bold.

Q: Is there a writer you idolize? If so who?
A: I love Janet Evanovich's writing! The Stephanie Plum series is hilarious and the things she comes up with...it's great. I love how she creates flawed, odd characters. They are very human and real!

Q:How did you come up for the title of this book?
A: I wanted to do a play on the word Wildflowers as part of the series title. The women are as wild as Montana, their names are (obviously!) all flower names and it also shows the underlying passion found in each of them.

ROSE:

Rose Lenox has grown up to be more comfortable on the back of a horse than wearing ribbons and bows like her seven adopted sisters. For years working the land was enough, but lately Rose finds herself wishing for something different. She wants her own ranch and freedom from her overwhelming and unorthodox family. Rose is determined to strike out on her own and forge her own path. Lenox neighbor, Chance Goodman, has watched Rose grow from a spitfire of a girl to a beautiful and fiery woman. For years he's waited patiently and watched her struggle to find her place in the world. When she leaves the Lenox ranch alone, determined to abandon her former life and to say good-bye to him, he knows the time has come to claim her. Letting her walk away isn't an option. Chance knows exactly what she needs...and he's going to give it to her. Follow the eight Lenox sisters through this historical erotic series that's as big and bold as the Montana Sky. The Wildflowers of Montana begins with Rose and her hot, Alpha cowboy.

HYACINTH:

When handsome Jackson Reed comes home from the army, he catches the immediate attention of the seven Lenox daughters. But he only has eyes for one — beautiful Hyacinth Lenox. It's apparent that she notices him as well, so why is she doing everything she can to avoid him?

Hyacinth can't stop thinking about the sandy-haired newcomer, but while she longs for happiness with Jackson, she feels unworthy to marry him or anyone else. Guilt from a tragic childhood incident dogs her even into adulthood, leaving her to feel undeserving of Jackson's love.

But Jackson isn't a man so easily dissuaded. He's determined to rid Hyacinth of her pain and make her his wife. Can he heal her past hurt and awaken her to the carnal pleasures he wants just with her? He senses a great capacity for love and passion in this fair Lenox flower. Unlocking it will mean a battle of wills, but love is worth the fight.

Follow the eight Lenox sisters through this historical erotic series that's as big and bold as the Montana Sky. The Wildflowers of Montana continues with Hyacinth and her sharpshooting hero.

#1 Amazon Bestseller in Erotic Western and Historical Erotica

Who doesn't love the romance of the old West? Vanessa Vale takes the sensual appeal of rugged cowboys a step further with her bestselling books set in the Montana Territory. They are much more than just sexy historical westerns. By introducing sexual taboos into this otherwise traditional romantic setting, Vanessa has won the loyalty of a fan base that never knows quite what to expect with each new series.

"Montana Maidens" was the first to push the envelope with strong BDSM themes. "Montana Men" followed suit with softer themes but lots of deliciously graphic sex. "The Bridgewater Series" showcases ménage relationships because sometimes one hot cowboy isn't enough. No-holds-barred, graphic descriptions, strong storytelling, engaging characters and breathtaking landscapes all combine to make very naughty reads.

And as a resident of Wild Wild West, Vanessa Vale finds plenty of inspiration for her work, for who doesn't love a handsome cowboy?

The Face Transplant

An epic journey of suspense, murder, and sacrifice

Dr. Matthew MacAulay is a facial transplant surgeon at a prestigious New York hospital. When his friend and mentor, Tom Grabowski, dies under mysterious circumstances, Matthew uncovers his friend’s secret: a new technique that allows perfect facial transplants. No incisions, no scars. Tom was able to accomplish this monumental feat with the help of Alice, a supercomputer robot with almost human abilities. While trying to find the people responsible for murdering Tom, Matthew realizes he is the prime suspect. He must flee for his life with the help of Dr. Sarah Larsson, a colleague and reluctant helper, who has a secret of her own, and Alice, who helps them make sense of a baffling series of seemingly unrelated events. The clues carry Matthew and Sarah around the world. They stumble onto a sinister plot of monumental proportions that leads Matthew all the way to the White House.

The Face Transplant is a powerful medical suspense thriller of the first order. The novel was written by a surgeon who weaves politics, medicine, and espionage into a tightly paced, intelligent thriller.

EXCERPT:

The man in the black fedora is going to kill Matthew MacAulay. It will bring him no joy. It will bring him no sadness. It is just something he has to do. He knows this one should feel different, but it does not. He sees Matthew and begins to approach him. He is very excited; it feels almost sexual. The small pin he carries in his right palm is a work of art. It is a two-inch-long needle with a hollow core. It is very difficult to have this manufactured. The mechanical specifications are exacting because the point is so fine it is invisible to the human eye.

He has to be careful with the point. If anyone looks closely at his right hand, they may notice a thick flesh-toned pad on his palm with a needle flat against it. As soon as he pushes the small button, the needle will become erect. The needle will penetrate Matthew’s skin and the plunger will inject the microdroplets. The amount is less than two grains of salt. Eight hours later Matthew will be dead. It will be relatively painless. Matthew’s muscles will violently constrict; it will be over in two minutes. Maybe it will not be so painless, but less pain than Matthew is causing him with his inquiries.

Small Town, Large Hearts Romance Blog Tour ~ Samantha Chase ~ Grace Burrowes ~ Andrea Laurence ~ Giveaway

Giveaway: Small town contemporary romance prize pack. Please use the RaffleCopter below to enter.

 Q&A With Authors:

What can you tell us about the small town setting of your new romance?

Samantha Chase (author of RETURN TO YOU): The south shore of Long Island had always been my heroine Selena’s home. Born and raised minutes from the beach, she always dreamed that it would be where she’d find love, raise a family and live happily ever after. The small coastal town really hadn’t been part of James Montgomery’s plan for his own life, after meeting Selena, it’s suddenly a very appealing part of his future.

Grace Burrowes (author of KISS ME HELLO): Damson Valley lies in rural Maryland, about an hour away from both Washington, DC, and Baltimore. The Appalachian Mountains give the town a protected, bucolic feel, despite the proximity of big city lights. My hero attorney MacKenzie Knightley loved growing up with his brothers on a farm right outside Damson Valley, and was all too happy to go into practice with both James and Trent. The Knightley farm is now owned by foster mom Sidonie Lindstrom, who has moved away from Baltimore to give her foster son a better start in life. Sid has no patience for small town life, though before too long, the scenery does catch her interest…

Andrea Laurence (author of FEEDING THE FIRE): If you’re willing to turn your car off the highway and venture from the beaten path, you might be lucky enough to run across a town like Rosewood, Alabama. Steeped in southern charm and the traditional values of God, Family and Football (although not always in that order), Rosewood is like a time capsule preserving everything modern cities have lost. Here, you’ll find homemade pies, perfectly brewed sweet tea, and beauty parlors filled with lively gossip. It’s the kind of town where everybody knows everybody – and everybody knows your business whether you like it or not! Thanks for stopping by. Sit a spell and tell us what you know.

What’s the hardest part of dating in a small town?

Samantha ChaseDating in a small town – even if there isn’t gossipy people – just means that everyone is going to know your business. Not that it’s always a bad thing, but it’s still there. It’s hard to keep things private and when you have a terrible breakup, everyone knows about it – which is something Selena struggles with even ten years later.

Is there a big party or a community get together for your small town?

Grace BurrowesAt least within the pages of The Sweetest Kisses series, Damson Valley doesn’t have one annual gathering, but it has craft festivals, art festivals, winery tours, and when Sid really, really needs the help, her neighbors gather on short notice to help her tear down a hog house that offends property regulations and could cost her her foster care license.

Small towns are known for their gossip. What is some hot news going around about your couple?

Andrea Laurence: Well, with the recent bachelor auction, there’s lots of juicy gossip in town. People expected the ladies in town to pay a pretty penny for Grant’s time, but the never expected Pepper to be the one to buy him. She didn’t expect it either! Grant has made it no secret over the years that he wants Pepper and as far as anyone knows, he hasn’t succeeded until now. Everyone is holding their breath to see how it turns out. He isn’t exactly known for his monogamous style, but maybe Pepper is the one to tame the bad boy!
