#Review - Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer by Joanne DeMaio

Are you looking for the perfect book to curl up with and enjoy that hot cup of cocoa? I have the perfect book for you and I just know you are going to enjoy it. Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer by Joanne DeMaio is an awesome winter time read to just relax and forget about the cold outside.

Joanne DeMaio is one of my favorite authors that takes me away while I read her books. She does such a fabulous job with description that she always takes me on a little vacation each time I read one of her books. I felt the warm welcome of the small town, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and became completely engrossed in the story of Jane March and Wes Davis.

Jane March is in a bit of a lull. She just can't seem to get that spark of creation she needs for her job making greeting cards.  Not only is she dealing with a creative drought she has a broken arm that she is dealing with. I instantly found a bond with Jane.  Her Mom sends her on a little journey around town on her I Insist list that I just loved. I could visualize each and every stop on the I Insist List and enjoyed each item on the list as much as Jane and Wes.

Wes Davis has had it with small town life. He's going through an emotional time and doesn't want all those sympathetic looks and the "How are you doing?" questions. His fiancee has left him almost at the alter and in a small town everyone knows. I loved that Wes is a mailman and everyone and anyone knows him and when and where he is going to be at. It's just one of those things that gives you the extra small town feel.

I loved how Jane ask Wes for help to get to the places on her I Insist List. As they visit and discover each little fabulous wonder of Winter they get to know each other better and a deeper relationship that neither is expecting forms.

The characters are incredible and I loved that I was given the chance to catch up with some old friends to see how life had been for them. Ms. DeMaio's stories always leave me with the feeling that I just made a couple of new friends on the wonderful vacation that she takes me on with her words.

I love this lady's work. She's very talented and write a tremendous story any time of the year. Her Christmas stories are just as special as her summer beach stories. Once again Ms. DeMaio has written a fabulous story that held me captivated, left my heart filled with joy, and my soul filled with the spirit of the holidays and love.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Addison. I loved watching Jane and Wes develop a new relationship and help each other heal from both physical and emotional issues. Joanne DeMaio knows how to write a lovely story that holds my attention from the first page all the way to very end. Then I'm left waiting for her next release with anxious anticipation. I can't wait to see what wonderful story she has in store for us lucky readers next. I know it'll be a great one.

I have to mention Jane's Cards. They are so well described that I wanted to run out and buy her cards to send out for Christmas. They sound beautiful.

I also must mention the cover. I love when the cover is so enticing it makes you want to grab the book and dig in. Then when you dig in and the story is just as fabulous as you thought it was going to. Oh those are the things that make this reviewer a happy lady.

I was given the opportunity to read this fabulous story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer.

#Review - The Lawman's Christmas Proposal by Barbara White Daille - The Hitching Post Hotel #3

The Lawman's Christmas Proposal is the first book I have had a chance to read by Barbara White Daille. What better place to start then with a Christmas story? I love Christmas stories!!! Barbara White Daille has written a wonderful story that left me with that wonderful feeling that only a Christmas romance story can bring.

Andi and her two kids have been through a traumatic loss. When Andi's husband was killed she has had to pick up her life and try to put the pieces back together. Her Grandfather Jed  has Andi come home and help out with the new wedding business at The Hitching Post Hotel. Jed has more on his mind then just helping Andi get through the holidays though. He's known for his match making and he has a perfect match lined up for Andi.

Mitch Weston has returned home to recover from an injury he suffered in the line of duty as a police officer. When he runs into his high school sweetheart, Andi, the attraction and feelings are still there.  Mitch loves his job as a lawman.

Jed comes up with some really interesting ways to get Mitch and Andi in the same places.  There is plenty of family meddling going on in this story. I love when the families are involved.

Barbara White Daille has created a wonderful story that is set at the perfect time of year. I really enjoyed reading Andi and Mitch's story. They have so many different obstacles that are set to keep them apart but a loving family that is doing everything in their power to pull them together.

This is the third book in The Hitching Post Hotel series. I didn't have any problem reading it as a stand alone. I would love to read more of the series and I'm anxious to read more books by Barbara White Daille. She has a lovely writing style that had me completely absorbed in the story quickly. The characters full of charisma with compelling histories that made for a great read.

I was given the opportunity to read this great book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on The Lawman's Christmas Proposal.

#Review - Christmas with Angel by Lexi Post ~Last Chance Book 1

I love Christmas stories! There is just something about a book that takes place at Christmas that makes it extra special. Christmas with Angel gave me a chance to catch up Cole Hatcher and Lacey Winters from Cowboy's Match. Cowboy's Match was my first Lexi Post book and I found a new favorite author by the end of page one. Lexi Post has a lovely writing style and tells a fabulous story with her own unique touch.

If you have read Cowboy's Match is will certainly add to your enjoyment of reading Christmas with Angel. If you haven't had a chance to read it, never fear, Christmas with Angel will stand alone just fine.

The Chemistry and sizzle between Cole and Lacey is most certainly still there. They are facing their biggest challenge yet. Christmas with the in-laws that kept them apart with lies and secrets. The tension is thick and may be a threat to their relationship.

Then something dramatic happens and Lacey finds herself in danger. I'm not going to tell you what happens but I will tell you my heart was racing and my fingers turning the page just as quickly as possible. I felt Lacey's fear and concern and Cole's desperation. I read this story in one setting. There was no way I was putting my Kindle down until I knew what was going to happen to Lacey.

This is a fairly quick read with just the right amount of hot and steamy scenes, drama, mystery, romance, and a nice dose of Christmas spirit.

I can't wait to read more about Cole's family at the Last Chance Ranch. I'm sure Lexi Post has a fabulous storyline in store for them.  I will impatiently be awaiting the next release by Lexi Post. It is sure to be a great read!

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Christmas with Angel.

#Review - Reason to Wed By Heather Boyd ~ The Distinguished Rogues

As some of you may know I completely adore Heather Boyd's books. I've loved every one of her books that I have read and tend to devour them in hours. This lady has a talent writing historical regency era romances that is just unbelievably awesome. Reason to Wed may have just jumped to first place in my favorite Heather Boyd book list.

I have to admit I could not wait to get my hands on this book. I have been looking forward to hearing more about Esme since An Improper Proposal. Esme is not the typical heroine. She's a touch older than the usual heroine, she's a widow, and she likes to explore her sexual appetite. She is an independent strong willed lady with charisma and charm that is all her own. Her relationship with Richard Hill, the Earl of Windermere is bump at the best. These two have a way of setting each other off and at first it's not in the good way. The sparks of frustration accidentally turn in to sparks of passion.

Richard Hill, the Earl of Windermere  is handsome, charming, and if you ask Esme a little on the conceited side. His goal for the season is to find a wife that can quickly produce an heir. However when sparks fly with Esme he puts finding a proper wife to bare his children on hold. He and Esme have a smoldering, steaming, hot relationship that is totally unexpected to both of them.

I really enjoyed reading about Esme and Richard. Their story is full of chemistry, hot and steamy scenes. plenty of emotion (grab some Kleenex, you may find a few tears streaming down your cheeks), drama, and circumstances that try to stand in their way of happily ever after together.

Overall this is one fabulous story that is well written with incredibly interesting characters that kept me spellbound from page one all the way through to the last page. This is part of The Distinguished Rogues Series but will stand alone just fine. If you have read An improper Proposal you will enjoy catching up with Esme and Richard again. You will not be missing anything pertinent if you haven't read the previous books. They are really good reads though so you may want to grab them up now too!

Reason to Wed is the perfect book to warm up a cold winter evening. Grab your copy, find a comfy place to read, and get ready to devour a wonderful historical romance in the style that only Heather Boyd can provide.

Normally you really should not judge a book by it's cover but this cover is on the spot. The couple have that smoldering hot look that perfectly fit Esme and Richard. When the cover is just as awesome as the story inside I figure it's OK to judge the book by the cover then.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Reason to Wed.

#Review :Hansel and Gretel-Twisted by Bobbi Romans

Are you looking for the perfect fairytale or the perfect gift for the grownups in your life? This is it! Hansel and Gretel is certainly not a children's story but it is a whole lot of fun! Bobbi Romans has created yet another fabulous story full of humor, twists, and steamy scenes with her own flare.

Fairyville is full of all those fun characters from the fairy tales we all remembers as children. Though just like us they have grown up and few of them are a little on the naughty side. But naughty can be fun sometimes right?

Hansel finds himself in a mess with the Queen of Hearts. He certainly isn't living the charmed life he had hoped to find with the Queen.

Gretel is lonesome and misses her brother. She sets off into the world of Fairyville where she encounters all sorts of characters some good and few evil, some playful and a few she needs to run from.

Prince Charming and his donkey are off on an adventure of their own. They encounter a few interesting characters along their way.

And as an added bonus we meet Cinderella, her wicked step family, and her beast. Beast is a unique character that is a whole lot more then the name implies. The story is an interesting twist on Cinderella with all the fun that can only happen in fairyville. There is mischief, mayhem, and maybe, just maybe a happily ever after.

I always enjoy Ms. Romans' stories she has a unique writing style that is truly her own. I can't wait to see what fun an creative story she has in store for us lucky readers next. I am always beyond excited when I hear she has a new release coming out. I know I am in for a fun read that is going to take me on an exciting adventure.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Hansel and Gretel -Twisted.

Hockey Agony by Donna M. McDine~ Illustrations by Julie Hammond ~ REVIEW

Larry  is down in the dumps since he has been sidelined from Hockey due to his broken leg. When the coach ask Larry to do something special he is pressured by some of his teammates to help the team. He has a huge decision to make when it comes down to the win. He has to decide if he is going to do the right thing or give into the pressure of his peers allow them to cheat.

I thought this story was nicely written and shows the real emotions and trauma that a young athlete would feel when having to sit out the sport they love due to an injury. Donna M. McDine has done a fabulous job of setting up the moral of the story. She has a nice writing voice that made for an enjoyable read.
The Illustration by Julie Hammond are great and really add to the story. They nicely done and added to just the right places.

This really is a quick read and I liked the approach of the life lessons it touched on. This age on this book is 8 to 12. I think depending on the reading level kids younger and older may enjoy as well. Ms. McDine has done a great job of showing the emotions that decisions have on a child.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Hockey Agony.

FLASH FIRE by Dana Marton ~Civilian Personnel Recovery~ REVIEW

Flash Fire is a fabulous story packed with heart stopping suspense, blood pumping action with the perfect amount of mystery and romance that kept me flipping those pages just as fast as I possible could.

Clara Roberts is on a mission for the Civilian Personnel Recovery unit when she receives a call for another mission in a dangerous area. She accepts the mission with a few reservations and some really mixed up feelings.

Light Walker has suffered major losses in his life. He's been trained to take care of problems with any means possible. He is on a mission of his own in the same dangerous territory that Clara is headed into. Light Walker has the skills the military trained him to use and the street or should I say jungle smarts he's mastered.

The first meeting between Clara and Light is the start of one really rocky relationship.  They are both fiercely independent and use to working on their own. Their strong personalities clash instantly. Their squabbles are interesting with a touch of humor and a nice attraction that they are trying so hard to fight.

The action in this story has been well written and made my heart miss a beat or two while I was completely engrossed in Clara and Light's story. The mysteries that they uncover bit by bit are intriguing and make for a very dramatic read.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading Flash Fire. I bonded with the characters quickly, became completely invested in the searches and battles they fought through, and the drama that was revealed with each twist.  Dana Marton has once again written a wonderful romantic suspense story that kept me submerged in the story for the first page all the way to the end.

This is the second book in the Civilian Personnel Recovery Unit series but will stand alone just fine. Ms. Marton has created each story with such detail that you will not feel as though you are missing any pertinent details to disrupt your joy of reading Flash Fire.

Dana Marton is one of those authors that I impatiently await their next release. She does a fabulous job of writing a story that keeps me engrossed with characters that unique traits that make them so much fun to read about.

I was given the opportunity to read Flash Fire so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Flash Fire.

Rainbow Of Friendship by Joni Klein-Higger ~ illustrations by Eileen Goldenberg ~ REVIEW

Rainbow Of Friendship is completely adorable! I loved the concept of the story and the illustrations are beautiful. I think I have found another wonderful book for the children in your lives.

When little red girl goes on a walk she encounters children of many shapes and colors. At first she isn't sure it's OK to play with these children that look so different from her. The story is written in a nice tone that flows easy and makes for an entertaining read as little red girl discovers that everyone is the same on the inside even though they are so different on the outside. What a lovely lesson that many could learn from.

Joni Klein-Higger has done a wonderful job of writing a story that I think children are going to enjoy and learn from. The illustrations are done by Eileen Goldenberg. I have recently read another book that was written and illustrated by her. She does a fantastic job with  illustrations. The illustrations are creative, colorful and fun. I enjoyed them as I was reading the story so I am sure they are going to catch the eye of a child in your life.

I was given the opportunity to read this cute story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Rainbow of Friendship.

Ex-Con: Bad Boy Romance by M.S. Parker & Shiloh Walker ~ REVIEW

I know any book that has Shiloh Walker's name on it is going to be a good read. Ex-Con: Bad Boy Romance is no exception. This was one of those books that I could not put down because I had to see what turn the next twist was going to take.

Bobby Cantrell has a checkered past, OK striped past might be better. He has been to prison and been through all the nastiness that one can only imagine may happen in a place like that. He has learned to be rough and tough. However under that extreme rough and tough exterior there is a sweet and protective teddy bear and a heart of gold.

Carly Prince is not what you would expect from a rich "princess". She's not the snotty stuck brat that some might expect. She is sweet, kind, loves those that are close to her like family, and maybe just a little bit use to getting her way about a few things. She smart and savvy and I really liked her attitude. I connected with Carly fairly quickly. I liked that she would stand up for those she cares about and she wasn't above using her status or power to get things done in a good way. I just admired this lady.

When Bobby and Carly's path's cross it sits of a whole load of fireworks in may different forms. These two seem to know just the right buttons to push to set the other one off. They also share a tremendous attraction. These two should not ever be allowed near anything flammable because they just might become combustible at any moment. The fireworks are tense and the attraction is extremely hot. I enjoyed watching these two get to know each other through the tough and bickering times and the hot, steamy, and romantic times.

Carly is in need of a bodyguard and Bobby just might fit the description to a t. Carly's team has their work cut out form them to convince him of that. I loved Carly's team. They are not only her protection but they are family to her as well. They work well together and truly are interesting to watch at work.

There is a lot of action in this book. The suspense had me clinging to the edge of my seat, the secrets that are revealed and the source of the danger were a bit of surprise to me. I had suspected one person might not be whom he claimed to be. I was still shocked and held spellbound by the drama that unfolded right there on my kindle.

I would highly recommend this awesome story if you like a little steam with your drama and suspense. You are going to love this story as much as I did.

I was given the opportunity to read and review this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Ex-Con: Bad Boy Romance.

Every anxious moments and my incredible anticipation were well warranted. Dead Reckoning meet all my expectation and exceeded several. I hung on to the wild ride around each corner and twist to see what was going to happen next and what piece of information would be revealed to the mystery.

I really enjoyed watching Kellee and Egan discover they had deep feelings for each other. Elite Ghosts: Six-Novel Cohesive Military Romance Boxed Set ~ Lithium’s Rescue by Sabrina York ~ Review

So far I have only had the chance to read one of the stories in this box set. I  read Lithium’s Rescue by Sabrina York and if the other 5 stories in this series are half as good (and I am sure they are) this is a must have box set.

Sabrina York's Lithium’s Rescue is full of nail biting, edge of your seat clinging, page turning suspense and drama. There are a few hot and steamy scenes done in the style that the only the her Royal Hotness can create. Sabrina York can write hot and steamy scenes like no other.

Michelle Parsons is a smart lady, that knows how to take care of herself. This girl can kick butt and then ask questions later.  She has one wicked boss with an evil plan. When Michelle accidental discovers the information she finds herself in a world of danger.

Benedict Butler (also know as Lithium) is the Elite Ghost sent to help her out. They both find themselves in the middle of a dangerous situation and on the run. While waiting for backup the attraction  between Benedict and Michelle quickly turn into a combustible explosion passion.

I was completely captivated by Michelle and Benedict's story from the first page to the last. I could not put this book down. I finished it on one setting because I had to see what happened next. I know I would certainly like to read more of the box set to see what happens next and what happens with the rest of the team.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Lithium’s Rescue.

I also have to say I think I may have formed an instant bond and attachment to Benedict as soon as I read his name. It is not a name you see often and I was surprised and a touched thrilled to see it in Sabrina York's book.

A Cold Creek Christmas Story by RaeAnne Thayne ~ Cowboys of Cold Creek ~ REVIEW

What could be better than another Christmas story by RaeAnne Thayne this year? Off the top of my head a really can't think of anything. I love Christmas stories and RaeAnne Thayne is one of my very favorite authors.

Ms. Thayne writes a fabulous small town romance story that just makes you feel good. When it takes place during the Christmas holiday it's even better. This talented author does a fabulous job of creating characters and story lines that are chock full of emotion.A Cold Creek Christmas Story is no exception.

I first meet the Nichols sisters in The Christmas Ranch last year. I formed an instant bond with this supportive and loving family and thoroughly enjoyed visiting The Christmas Ranch again and the Nichols sisters again.

Celeste Nichols is the author of the Sparkle story and the local library's Children's librarian. She's a sweet, kind, caring, and really good with kids. She just seems to have the special touch when she meets Olivia Delaney and her father Flynn. Olivia is such a sweet child that has been through things no child should have to do.

Flynn Delaney is a wonderful father that is hurting deeply for what his sweet daughter has been through. He has returned to  Pine Gulch, Idaho to take care of his Grandmother's home. He attends a library children's story hour with his daughter and unexpected runs into his childhood neighbor Celeste.

The sparks and emotions between Flynn and Celeste make for an incredible story. Celeste just may be the exact thing that both Flynn and Olivia need. I loved watching these three get to know each other and how they interact together.  They have obstacles they are going to have to overcome if they are going to find a happily ever after together as a family though.

A Cold Creek Christmas Story is a fabulous attention to the Cowboys of Cold Creek series. If you haven't read any of the other books in the series, never fear, they will all stand alone just fine. You may start with the wonderful Christmas story and not feel like you are missing any pertinent details.

Overall it is  a very emotionally touching story that kept me enthralled throughout the whole story.  I loved the characters and who could possibly resist the adorable Sparkle the Reindeer that makes an appearance in the story. Celeste also has a very cute dog and cat that add their own special touch to the story.

I can not wait to see what Ms. Thayne may have in store for us next in this series. I'm anxious to see if Faith Nichols will be able to find happiness again.

I was given the opportunity to read this wonderful story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on A Cold Creek Christmas Story.

Pleasures of Christmas Past by Lexi Post ~A Christmas Carol~ REVIEW

I LOVE Christmas stories! There is just something special about a story that takes place at Christmas time. Lexi Post has taken a fun twist on The Christmas Carol with her special touch of hot and steamy.

Jessica Thomas is a helper. In life she was a social worker that did her best to help everyone. She felt the pain of each case she was not able to help. Now after she has passed she has been assigned to be a Spirit Guide. I really liked Jessica and I enjoy her quest as a spirit guide. I can feel her kind and caring spirit shines through in Lexi Post's awesome creative writing.

Duncan Montgomerie has been hanging around as a spirit guide for so long he has no clue how long ago he passed.  He is the classic case of a ladies' man with his playboy tendencies. He really does love the ladies. When he is assigned as Jessica's mentor he isn't sure he is going to be able to use his charm and flirting abilities to win her over.

Neither Jessica or Duncan found their happily ever after mate while living. So they do find they share a few similar traits. They also find a hot and steamy attraction. I have to say that Lexi Post has done a wonderful job of writing a totally unique story that had me completely captivated from the beginning all the way to the last page.

If you are looking for a unique Christmas story to help warm things up a little bit on a cold night, grab Pleasures of Christmas Past. I think you will enjoy it. I know I certainly did.

Her band days are over, but she still enjoys writing songs. Sheila’s books are best sellers and often appear as Reader’s Digest Condensed Books. Her novel “Angel Lane” was named one of Amazon’s top ten romances in 2009. Her novel “On Strike for Christmas” was a Lifetime Network movie and her novel “The Nine Lives of Christmas” is now a Hallmark movie, scheduled to air November 8th.
When she’s not speaking to women’s groups or at conferences or hanging out with her girlfriends she can be found writing about those things near and dear to women’s hearts: family, friends, and chocolate.

Review:

Christmas on Candy Cane Lane contains two of my very favorite things a Christmas story in a small town. I have enjoyed each and every visit I have had to Icicle Falls. Sheila Roberts has created a wonderful small town with unique stores, fun holiday festivities, and great characters that quickly became new friends.

Tilda Morrison is a police officer in the small town of Icicle Falls. This lady is strong, independent, loves her job and has that soft side hidden under the rough and tough exterior.  She doesn't think she wants anything to do with Devon Black even though he takes advantage of every opportunity that he can find to flirt with her.

Devon Black has that bad boy image of being a playboy who tends to get into trouble a lot. However under that bad boy image just might be a gentleman with a heart of gold that is just way too go to pass over.  I really enjoyed watching this guy do his best to try to win over Tilda and maybe her heart too.

Maddy Donaldson is the Queen of Candy Cane Lady. Seriously this lady could give Mrs. Claus a run for her money in the Christmas cheer department. She wants everyone to have the best Christmas possible and to enjoy the festive neighborhood. However, her family is feeling a little left behind with all the Christmas Cheer. Ms. Roberts has done a great job of writing this family's story. She hits on some very real issues with teenage children and what the wrong influences can lead to.

Ivy Bohn is spending her first Christmas with her two young children after her resent divorce. Poor Ivy has her hands full with two little kids that miss their Daddy and really just don't under where Daddy has gone. She also runs the family business the Christmas Haus.  Ivy is full of emotions and some are conflicting emotions. At first I would have gladly helped Ivy slap her husband for leaving her but he kind of grew on me as the story progressed. I won't tell you what happened. I'll let you read this great Christmas story to find out for yourself.

With all the different personalities, problems in their lives, and totally different situations the ladies of Christmas Cane Lane have all come together in this great story to share their lives with us this Christmas. I for one loved visiting Candy Cane Lane and I can't wait for my next visit to Icicle Falls.

I have found that each book in the Life in Icicle Falls series easily stands on it own. If you have read any of the previous books you might find a friend or two to catch up with. If this is your first visit to Icicle Falls you won't feel like you are missing any information that would decrease your pleasure of the story. Each visit to Icicle Falls is unique and doesn't leave you hanging. It may leave you anxious for your next visit though, I know it always does me.

Sheila Roberts has done a fabulous job with these characters. I experienced bouts of joy, moments of sadness, and a few over anxious moments for a few of them. Overall I would highly recommend this story to small town romance fans that also LOVE Christmas stories like me.

I can't wait to see what Sheila Roberts has in store for us lucky readers for the next story in Icicle Falls. I will be anxious to see what she comes up with next. I know it will be great.

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Christmas on Candy Cane Lane.
