Theodora Dalton is a strong, confident lady who has suffered a tremendous loss. Her world has been turned upside down and tossed around. She and her mother need a safe place to stay until they can figure out what their next move will be.
Quinn, Viscount Maitland, is the handsome gentleman that lives next door. He steps up and comes to Theodora and her mother's rescue and allow them to stay with him. Quinn has not had an easy life. His father is a rude and cruel man that has made life difficult for all his family. Quinn is the good guy that does his best to product his family and to make sure they have what they need. Quinn is one of those guys you can not help but fall for.
Theodora is a very smart lady that knows how to get things done and the courage to do even the most awkward tasks. I have to say I immediately admired this lady. She may be broken hearted and working her fingers to the bone to get through the worst of it, but she has guts.
Quinn quickly finds his new secretary has more talent and skills then he could possibly imagine. She's sweet, smart, sexy, and certainly has gained his attention. I had so much fun watching Quinn and Theodora go from employee/employer to friends, then friends with benefits, and ultimately lovers that just might just have found happily ever after.
There is drama, suspense, friendship, family issues, "friends" that can not be trusted, an intriguing romance that has some hot and steamy moments, and added together to make the perfect recipe for an incredible read.
Heather Boyd has such an amazing talent. This lady is one of my very very favorite historical romance authors. If I'm not feeling well a Heather Boyd book is like chicken soup for the mind. It never fails to make me feel better.
An Affair so Right is the fourth book in the Rebel Hearts Series. Ms. Boyd does a fabulous job of making sure that each book is quite capable of standing on its own. The other books in this series are really awesome too. So you may want to pick up a few from the series when you grab up this scrumptious book.
I was given the opportunity to read the fantastic book and it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
