#Review ~ Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis ~ @jillshalvis @avonbooks

My Review of Wrapped Up in You:

It's Christmas time and the Christmas books have been coming out for a couple of months and I have devoured them like the delicious candy that they are. Wrapped up in You by Jill Shalvis was actually one of the first books I read this Christmas season and it was a great start to the Christmas books for me. I read this book the second it hit my hot little hands and I devoured it in one sitting. It is that good!

Ivy Snow has not had an easy life. Growing up was not easy and having a brother that is prone to getting into trouble and bringing trouble into Ivy's life has been frustrating and scary at times. She has taken her past issues and used them as a basis to help build her life as a strong, independent lady that can kick rear ends if need be. Ivy's life is going well, she has her dream business, she's starting to feel safe, and she is just starting to really let friends into her life.

Kel O’Donnell hasn't had an easy life either. He and his sister were raised by their grandparents. His Mom is in town now and she would like to build a relationship with both of her grown children. Kel isn't sure that he is ready to deal with all those issues from his past. He's visiting his cousin Caleb when he encounters the beautiful and very talented chef at Caleb's favorite food truck. The sparks fly instantly and it's not just the deliciously hot food that is heating things up.

Kel is there when Ivy is hit with a devastation discovery that affects her both emotionally and financially. He sticks around to help her work through the mess and take the steps to get things moving again quickly. Ivy and Kel are instantly attracted to each other but neither one of them is looking for love. They both have way too many things to deal with in their lives right now to add a complicated relationship to the mix. The attraction is just too strong to fight and quickly turns into a flaming passion.

Jill Shalvis has knocked another one out of the park with Wrapped up in You. The charters are charismatic, charming and very easy to bond with. The story is packed full of drama, suspense, deep and long-lasting friendships, family issues, and a hot and steamy romance. Overall this book rocked! I love Christmas stories and Jill Shalvis has created one that I could not put down.

This is the eighth book in the Heartbreaker Bay series. Don't worry if you haven't had a chance to read the previous seven books, Jill Shalvis has written each story to stand on its own just fine. If you have read the previous stories you are going to love the chance to catch up with old friends. I know I enjoyed visiting with all those friends I have made in all those fantabulous books in this series.

I was given the opportunity to read this phenomenal story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

About Wrapped Up in You:

It’s love. Trust me.
After a lifetime on the move, Ivy Snow is an expert in all things temporary—schools, friends, and way too many Mr. Wrongs. Now that she owns a successful taco truck in San Francisco and an apartment to call home, Ivy’s reinvented life is on solid ground. And she’s guarded against anything that can rock it. Like the realities of a past she’s worked hard to cover up. And especially Kel O’Donnell. Too hot not to set off alarms, he screams temporary. If only his whispers weren’t so delightfully naughty and irresistible.
Kel, an Idaho sheriff and ranch owner, is on vacay, but Ivy’s a spicy reason to give his short-term plans a second thought. Best of all, she’s a tonic for his untrusting heart, burned once and still in repair. But when Ivy’s past intrudes on a perfect romance, Kel fears that everything she’s told him has been a perfect lie. Now, if only Ivy’s willing to share, Kel will fight for a true love story.
