#Review Poisoned Honor by Lexi Post

Poisoned Honor captured my attention from the first page and held me captivated all the way through. Lexi Post has put together a heart racing, breath stealing, page turner of a story that is impossible to put down.

Tyler Adams is Coast Guardsman rescue swimmer and he loves it. He's a true hero and is very dedicated to his team and always ready for the next rescue. Accidents are happening all around his team and in their Crystal Waters, Florida Air Station. Tyler is just about ready to return to duty and all of these accidents are making him a bit nervous. He's already dealing with a bit of fear of heights since his accident that he is trying to over come. He needs to know more about these "accidents" before he feels comfortable going back to active duty. He calls in his friend Ryan to help him put the pieces together.

Dr. Meghan Haskell has been working with a few of the members of Tyler's team after their accidents. When Tyler drops off his friend and fellow team mate for his session with Meghan, sparks fly. The attraction between Tyler and Meghan is intense and sizzling. As Meghan and Tyler are exploring a relationship together he confides his fillings that things are not right at the Air Station.

Each twist and turn had me holding my breath wondering what could possible be around the next corner. I don't want to tell you too much about the drama, suspense, or reveal any of the secrets to the story. You are going to want to grab this book yourself and enjoy those moments for yourself. I suggest grabbing up this book, curling up in a comfortable spot and devour this fabulous story.

Poisoned Honor is the second book in the Broken Valor series. I think it stands on it's own just fine and you won't have any problem if you pick this one up first. If you have had a chance to read When Love Chimes you are going to see some familiar faces and get a chance to catch up with Ryan and Lynzie.

Poisoned Honor is another shining example of Lexi Post's talent. This book has action, suspense, drama, mystery, team work, friendship, romance and a few steaming hot scenes that all combined are the recipe for a perfect read.

I was given the opportunity to read this fantabulous story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

What she doesn’t know is that Ford isn’t a stripper. He’s her friend’s overprotective brother, there to make sure his little sister doesn’t get into any trouble. She’s surprised at the passion that flares between them. In fact, what she has with Ford might just be what she’s been looking for all along.
It’s a pity the sexy rancher isn’t in the market for a city girl.

READ AN EXCERPT:

She shouldn’t have taken the shot.
For God’s sake, what had she been thinking? She’d been on a low-carb, low-calorie diet—with no alcohol—for a month. Not because Blaine had called her fat. That had nothing to do with it. She just wanted… She just wanted to do it for herself. Yeah.
It wasn’t like he was coming back or anything. And it wasn’t like she’d let him.
But it would be awesome to run into him somewhere, say the bank or the coffee shop or that bar on Grill Street, looking like a vixen. She only had ten pounds to go to hit vixen weight. It was a helluva ten pounds. They didn’t seem to want to budge.
And damn, she really wanted something to eat.
And damn, the tequila had hit her hard.
So hard she’d left the weekend kickoff party—although, to be honest, she’d wanted to leave since the pumping music and the grinding bodies and the strobing lights were starting to make her eyelid twitch. As down-home country as the bedrooms were at this ranch-slash-resort, they sure knew how to throw a bacchanal at night.
It was pleasanter out here behind the house, staring up at the stars and enjoying the kiss of a soft breeze. There were no sounds but the rustle of the leaves in the trees, the crickets and the occasional croak of a frog.
Her head hardly spun at all.
She leaned back and closed her eyes and imagined how amazing it would feel to be twenty-one again and interested in those kinds of men. To rub against a hard chest and feel his thickly muscled arms hold her close.
But none of those boys had ignited a flicker of interest in her. They’d all been rubbed smooth. Although several of them, and one in particular, had made it clear he wanted to dance for her.
It was a damn shame.
It would have been fun.
What kind of man would she want, if she wanted a man? Tall, for sure. Broad. Hard. Rough. Maybe a little wicked twinkle in his eye.
A door slammed to her right and her eyes flew open. She blinked as a man strode toward her through the shadows. Her heart lurched and the breath caught in her throat. Yes, her heart whispered. Yes. That was the kind of man she wanted.
He was big, and broad and roped with muscle. His stride was sure, determined and powerful. He wore boots that kicked up dust with every step, and chaps and even a Stetson. He had high cheekbones and a well-formed brow. His square chin was spattered with a dark shadow. His shirt was buttoned.
He looked like a real cowboy.
He looked like a man.
This guy could dance for her. No problem. She’d love to have him rub himself all over her—
His steps stalled as he caught sight of her.
“Well, hey there, cowboy,” she purred. It was probably the tequila purring, but he didn’t seem to care. He peered into the shadows.
She did him the favor of moving into the light. She liked that his nostrils flared and his throat worked. He touched the brim of his hat. “Ma’am.”
Ooh. Ma’am.
Sexy. This stripper knew how to play a role.
“You’re late,” she said.
He blinked. “Late?”
“The party’s already started.” She sidled up to him—again, the tequila; normally she would never sidle up to anybody—and put her hand on his chest. The muscles rippled in response and something inside her rippled as well. It was probably her womb. Crying out for a visitor.
It had been a while, after all.
She leaned closer, against him, and it was good. She nestled her nose in his beautiful neck and took a whiff. And daham, he smelled sinful. Wicked. Alluring.
“What is that fragrance?” she asked. She needed to know. Wanted to bathe in it.
He chuckled; the sound rumbled through her. “Soap.”
“Mmm. Yummy.” She scudded her palm over his chest, his thick arms and down to his trim waist. He held steady as she explored, staring at her through insanely thick lashes. It should be illegal for a man to have lashes like that. His features were locked and hard. A muscle ticked in his cheek. “You’re hard,” she murmured. Oh, God, he was.
“Yes, ma’am. I am.” This he said in a low purr, one that gave a sizzle of double entendre to the words.
Something cracked inside her. It was probably the remainder of her pickled restraint. He was the hottest man she’d ever seen, much less touched. His heat soaked into her and melted her, liquefied her.
She couldn’t stop her roving exploration and wouldn’t have anyway. Her hand drifted lower. His body tightened, his breath hitched as she reached his belt. And then she found him.
Her knees locked. Her pulse rocketed through her veins. Because Jesus God, he wasn’t just hard, he was rock hard…

#Review - Desires of Christmas Present by Lexi Post

Desires of Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol Book 2) by [Post, Lexi]I love a good Christmas story and when it happens to be by one of my favorite authors that is even better!

Desires of Christmas Present is book two in Lexi Post's Christmas Carol series. I enjoyed the first book Pleasures of Christmas Past last year and I could not wait to see what Ms. Post had in store for us lucky readers for Christmas Present.

Coco Baker is a sweet lady that is strong independent and good at her job of being a spirit guide. I liked Coco right away and quickly bonded with her. She has an unusual talent that allows her to see when two people are soul mates. She never had a chance to find her soul mate before she passed. Much to her extreme dismay she is paired with Ian Fergusson for her current assignment. Ian is known well around the spirit guide world and it's not with fondness.

Ian Fergusson comes off with an attitude and it's not a kind one. He went through a lot in his life though and carries a massive amount of guild around along with that chip on his shoulder. After a while and after a few things are revealed Ian grew on me. I started to like him and understood better why he acted the way he did.

The thing I love about the Christmas Carol stories is the interaction with those in the alive world as well as those in the spirit world. I loved getting a chance to see how Holly was doing. She's making progress but she still wasn't quite "Living" yet. I loved the things that Ian and Coco how Holly and her reaction to their stops.

Coco and Ian's relationship and project starts out with a lot of friction. That friction turned into some pretty hot fireworks between these two. I enjoyed watching them bicker their way through disagreements and slowly getting to know each other better.

This wonderful Christmas story has everything to make for a fabulous read. There is romance, some steam to warm up a cold winter night, some very touching scenes, and an ending that made my heart sigh. There is a reason why Lexi Post is one of my favorite authors, this lady knows how to write a story!

This is the second book in the Christmas Carol Series however I think you will find it can stand on it's own just fine. Pleasures of Christmas past is pretty awesome so you might want to pick them both up now. They are both perfect Christmas time reads.

I was given the chance to read this delicious story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

#Review - Fletcher's Flame by Lexi Post

Dallas Fire & Rescue: Fletcher's Flame (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Last Chance Book 3) by [Post, Lexi]Fletcher's Flame by Lexi Post is a HOT read filled with lots of drama and steamy hot scenes. Ms. Post had me flipping pages just as quickly as I could to see what was going to happen next. Lexi Post is one of those authors that became a must read for me after my very first taste of her work

Dana Wilson is a sweet lady that loves animals. That moves her to the top of my list right there. She is also courage, smart, and independent.

Bo Fletcher is not only a soft hearted cowboy he's also a brave fireman. He's creative and very protective of those he cares about. His first encounter with Dana is in the middle of the flames. It starts out hot and just keeps getting hotter.

Dana and Bo throw off some pretty good sparks and those sparks turn into a flaming passion as their attraction grows.

Dana finds herself in many dangerous situation and Bo usually isn't too far behind and caught in the danger as well. I don't want to tell you too much. i will tell you there are times when I held my breathe waiting to see how they were going to get out danger. I read this book in one setting. There was NO way that I could put it down until the end. I was completely captivated from page one until the very end.

I really enjoyed Dana and Bo's story. The drama is intense, the attraction is flammable, the characters are great, and all those adorable pets are awe worthy. Lexi Post has done a fabulous job of bringing these to characters together in an intense situation that bonds them together quickly.

This is part of the Dallas Fire & Rescue Kindle world and also part of the the Last Chance series. I missed book 2 in the Last Chance series and I had no problem reading this as a stand alone. So don't worry if you are starting with this book, it stands on it's own just fine. I am going to have to get my hands on book 2 because this is a very awesome series.

I was given the chance to read this marvelous story and it is my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
