#Review - Fletcher's Flame by Lexi Post

Dallas Fire & Rescue: Fletcher's Flame (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Last Chance Book 3) by [Post, Lexi]Fletcher's Flame by Lexi Post is a HOT read filled with lots of drama and steamy hot scenes. Ms. Post had me flipping pages just as quickly as I could to see what was going to happen next. Lexi Post is one of those authors that became a must read for me after my very first taste of her work

Dana Wilson is a sweet lady that loves animals. That moves her to the top of my list right there. She is also courage, smart, and independent.

Bo Fletcher is not only a soft hearted cowboy he's also a brave fireman. He's creative and very protective of those he cares about. His first encounter with Dana is in the middle of the flames. It starts out hot and just keeps getting hotter.

Dana and Bo throw off some pretty good sparks and those sparks turn into a flaming passion as their attraction grows.

Dana finds herself in many dangerous situation and Bo usually isn't too far behind and caught in the danger as well. I don't want to tell you too much. i will tell you there are times when I held my breathe waiting to see how they were going to get out danger. I read this book in one setting. There was NO way that I could put it down until the end. I was completely captivated from page one until the very end.

I really enjoyed Dana and Bo's story. The drama is intense, the attraction is flammable, the characters are great, and all those adorable pets are awe worthy. Lexi Post has done a fabulous job of bringing these to characters together in an intense situation that bonds them together quickly.

This is part of the Dallas Fire & Rescue Kindle world and also part of the the Last Chance series. I missed book 2 in the Last Chance series and I had no problem reading this as a stand alone. So don't worry if you are starting with this book, it stands on it's own just fine. I am going to have to get my hands on book 2 because this is a very awesome series.

I was given the chance to read this marvelous story and it is my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

#Review ~ Temptations of Christmas Future By Lexi Post ~ @LexiPost

I love Christmas books and I love Lexi Post's books. Pardon me for a moment while I bask in my glory of a Christmas book from Lexi Post! Temptations of Christmas Future is the third book in Ms. Post's Christmas Carol series. Each book has been fabulous.  I started this book and had a really hard time putting it down. My Kindle battery went dead or I would not have been able to set it down and I would have finished it in one sitting.

Joy Collingwood is one of the good girl spirit guides. She sweet, kind, and wants to help everyone. She is surprised an yet excited when she is teamed up with Malcolm MacLachlan for spirit guide mission. She knows he is a little rough around the edges but she thinks she might be able to help him.

Malcolm MacLachlan is ready for one more mission and he must prove himself with this one or his tenor as a spirit guide just may be over. He wants to show Joy that life isn't all roses and peaches. He thinks she might be a little too sweet.

So these two completely different spirit guides set out on their mission to help Holly, their boss' widow, see her possible future and help her set a path for a good future. Joy and Malcolm have two completely different attitudes towards things but they work well together. They are also massively attracted to each other. The attraction soon leads intense passion. These two unlikely spirit guides soon find they have a lot more in common than they thought.

Lexi Post has created yet another fabulous story that has all those good things that make a story perfect. This lady has an incredible talent for writing a steamy hot story with plenty of drama, mystery, and characters that quickly become friends. I enjoyed the whole idea behind this series. I love the Characters, I love the paranormal aspects and the storylines.  No matter what genre this lady writes in the story is fabulous. Lexi Post is always on my MUST read list. I can't wait to see what incredible story she has in store for us next. No matter what it is I know it will be a great read.

If you love a HOT Christmas story then you need to grab this book now. Each of these books will stand on their own just fine but they are all so GOOD that you may just want to go ahead and grab all three of them right now. Then settle in and enjoy.

I was given the opportunity to read this fantabulous story and it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

Excerpt:

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them. “I miss Cam. It was as if we were two parts of the same soul. I lived vicariously through him even while I worried constantly about him. It was one of the reasons I was constantly warning him to be careful. I was afraid to lose him.”
Ethan looked away and rubbed the back of his neck. “And then I did.”
She felt as if her heart were breaking all over again, not for her but for Ethan. He was so good to her. He even loved her. And she… “Ethan, I understand.”
His gaze returned to hers. Though she couldn’t see his face clearly, the limited light reflected off the sheen in his eyes.
She placed her hand on his cheek and rising on her toes brushed her lips across his in a feather-light kiss. She only meant to give comfort, but a spark of something else hit her heart.
She remained there, her lips close to his but not touching, wanting more but afraid to ask.
Ethan remained absolutely still, his breath mixing with her own.
He loved her but would never push her. It wasn’t his nature. She could walk away right now, but to what?
Nothing.
She stared at his mouth in the dim light. She wanted to live again. She wanted to feel again. Tilting her head, she pressed her lips more firmly against his, moving her hand down his stubbled jaw and behind his neck to pull him closer.
Ethan’s lips opened, and she slipped her tongue between them.
As his arms came around her, it was like waking from a dream. A slow burn flowed through her veins as he took control of the kiss and explored her mouth with his tongue. It was an unhurried exploration and heat built in her belly. When he pulled back to lick the underside of her top lip, she took her first deep breath. As she exhaled, tingles spread throughout her body.
He kissed the corners of her mouth before leaning his forehead against her own. “Ye catch my blood on fire, lass.”

#GiveAway ~ #Review ~ On Highland Time by Lexi Post ~ @LexiPost

On Highland Time
by Lexi Post

Lexi is offering a beautiful Sterling Silver Thistle Necklace with Amethyst Stone from Glasgow to one lucky winner. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter.

My 7 favorites things about ON HIGHLAND TIME:
by Lexi Post
1. Torr: I so enjoyed writing this alpha hero with a kind heart, who refused to love anyone else after all the people he’s lost. He’s one of those bigger than life heroes that I totally had a crush on.

2. Diana’s swears: I admit these were fun to come up with. Some I had to cut, but I kept “Oh Shakespeare” and “Puck!” Can you tell her mother was an English professor who was adamant that ladies don’t swear?

3. Go-Lucky: The agents of Time Weavers, Inc. are very lucky to have this small man as their handler. He has some baggage, but doesn’t let that interfere with his job…most of the time.

4. Gealach Castle: Having been to Scotland many times, I had no problem picturing this wee medieval castle in the highlands. It’s a simple keep with a walled in courtyard with various small outbuildings like the stables, blacksmith and bakery.

5. Clan MacPherson: The people came alive for me as Diana met each one. Nessa was probably my favorite, but I also liked Braigh who’s dependable and knows how to treat his wife.

6. Control: I’ve always loved time travel, ever since I first read HG Wells the Time Machine, but what frustrates me is when the traveler has no control over the time leaps. That’s why my TWI agents all have a genetic ability to travel through the Timestream. Not only that, but because they are slightly advanced over us humans, they have a special ability, which seems rather innocuous at first, but comes in handy, like Diana’s ability to calm people.
iss
7. TWI staff: I just love that each staff member of the company also has a special ability that helps the secret agency run. They have very different personalities too, which will come to light more and more as the series progresses. The spotlight is, of course, on the female time travelers and how and when they find their true loves.

BLURB:

For fans of sexy Scottish Highlanders who know how to treat a woman like a lady.

When someone changes history, affecting the future, Diana Montgomery, the most experienced agent of Time Weavers, Inc., travels back to 1306 Scotland to change it back. Her mission, to find the culprit and ensure a minor clan chief dies in battle as he originally had.

Diana is well-prepared to infiltrate the small MacPherson clan. What she’s not prepared for is Torr MacPherson, the ruggedly handsome warrior with a kind heart and a steadfast loyalty—the Laird she’s supposed to ensure dies.

**Note from Crystal:
I am finishing up my review this evening. This is just a brief review.

This is such a fabulous story and I truly enjoyed it. I was so spellbound by the first few pages I think it would easily have been possible to read this book in one sitting. I easily finished it in two. I could not put it down. I quickly bonded with the characters, the storyline was incredibly fascinating and held my attention. Lexi has created such fascinating idea with the Time Weavers, Inc members.

If you enjoy a great steamy Highland story then you must read this one! Lexi Post always does a fabulous job no matter what genre she writes. If you are a Lexi Post fan, like me, then you must grab On highland Time now! You are going to love it!

I can't wait to see what Ms. Post has in store for us with the other members of Time Weavers, Inc. I know I will be anxious to get my hot little hands on the next book just as soon as possible.
Excerpt:

Torr took her reaction in stride and began a tender assault on her neck.
She pushed against him, and he allowed her a little space. She was grateful because despite her training, she doubted she could do much to take down such a huge man, especially if she didn’t want to hurt him. But he kept his arms about her waist.
“What is it, lass?”
It was everything. She wanted to cry and laugh at the impossible situation she found herself in, even as her body shivered with a growing need. She simply shook her head and tried to step back, but he held her with gentle strength.
Didn’t he understand? She needed to put more space between them, in so many ways. Her breaths came quickly, her body flushed from the desire he’d ignited. A desire she never remembered experiencing before. She closed her eyes and tried to think of the rolling mountains beyond the castle walls, but they faded quickly and instead she envisioned Torr, cupping her breasts.
She snapped open her eyes to find him staring at her, a crooked grin on his face.
“I want ye, Diana. Ye have a fire in ye that calls me like the spring sun to the seedling.”
Oh, Shakespeare, now he was a poet, too? She couldn’t do this. He was due to die… She had to find the Disruptor… She had to—
His deep voice soothed her. “I understand. Life here at Gealach is new and strange, and I have possibly presumed too much, too soon. Ye miss yer clan, do ye not?”
She didn’t say anything, his kindness causing a lump to form in her throat. His warm, big body so close to hers with the scent of leather and the clean smell from his bath was so primitively male, he had her feeling safe, protected.
He pulled her body against his again. Instead of feeling physical attraction, she wanted to simply snuggle in. Hesitantly, she let her head fall against his shoulder.
As they stood there, his chest rising and falling in steady rhythm beneath her cheek, memories of her dad doing the same calmed her. When she’d done poorly on a test, not made the volleyball team, or when she was dumped by her first boyfriend in ninth grade, Dad had held her just like this. Torr would make a good father…except he was destined to die.
She stiffened. Did Torr have any children after the Disruptor saved him? He deserved children.
He reacted to her body language and stroked her back. “I know it is hard. I too have lost many of my family.”
She pulled back to look at his face, anxious to hear what he’d reveal.
“Unlike ye, I didn’t know my mother. She died shortly after Kerr was born. Five sons took too much out of her. But my brothers and my father made a family.”
She put her hand on his chest, feeling the sadness behind his words. This man deserved comfort more than she did. He had endured so much and yet still offered more to others.
He covered her hand with his and sighed. “The war has taken all but Kerr from me. Him and the few left in our wee clan. I’m glad ye joined us. I hope ye will eventually feel this is yer home.” His inner sadness called to her in a different way from his persuasive sexual advances. In that moment, he touched her heart.
“I’m sure I will. It is the only home I have now.” She grimaced inside at such a bald-faced lie.

#Review - Desires of Christmas Present by Lexi Post

Desires of Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol Book 2) by [Post, Lexi]I love a good Christmas story and when it happens to be by one of my favorite authors that is even better!

Desires of Christmas Present is book two in Lexi Post's Christmas Carol series. I enjoyed the first book Pleasures of Christmas Past last year and I could not wait to see what Ms. Post had in store for us lucky readers for Christmas Present.

Coco Baker is a sweet lady that is strong independent and good at her job of being a spirit guide. I liked Coco right away and quickly bonded with her. She has an unusual talent that allows her to see when two people are soul mates. She never had a chance to find her soul mate before she passed. Much to her extreme dismay she is paired with Ian Fergusson for her current assignment. Ian is known well around the spirit guide world and it's not with fondness.

Ian Fergusson comes off with an attitude and it's not a kind one. He went through a lot in his life though and carries a massive amount of guild around along with that chip on his shoulder. After a while and after a few things are revealed Ian grew on me. I started to like him and understood better why he acted the way he did.

The thing I love about the Christmas Carol stories is the interaction with those in the alive world as well as those in the spirit world. I loved getting a chance to see how Holly was doing. She's making progress but she still wasn't quite "Living" yet. I loved the things that Ian and Coco how Holly and her reaction to their stops.

Coco and Ian's relationship and project starts out with a lot of friction. That friction turned into some pretty hot fireworks between these two. I enjoyed watching them bicker their way through disagreements and slowly getting to know each other better.

This wonderful Christmas story has everything to make for a fabulous read. There is romance, some steam to warm up a cold winter night, some very touching scenes, and an ending that made my heart sigh. There is a reason why Lexi Post is one of my favorite authors, this lady knows how to write a story!

This is the second book in the Christmas Carol Series however I think you will find it can stand on it's own just fine. Pleasures of Christmas past is pretty awesome so you might want to pick them both up now. They are both perfect Christmas time reads.

I was given the chance to read this delicious story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

#Review - Christmas with Angel by Lexi Post ~Last Chance Book 1

I love Christmas stories! There is just something about a book that takes place at Christmas that makes it extra special. Christmas with Angel gave me a chance to catch up Cole Hatcher and Lacey Winters from Cowboy's Match. Cowboy's Match was my first Lexi Post book and I found a new favorite author by the end of page one. Lexi Post has a lovely writing style and tells a fabulous story with her own unique touch.

If you have read Cowboy's Match is will certainly add to your enjoyment of reading Christmas with Angel. If you haven't had a chance to read it, never fear, Christmas with Angel will stand alone just fine.

The Chemistry and sizzle between Cole and Lacey is most certainly still there. They are facing their biggest challenge yet. Christmas with the in-laws that kept them apart with lies and secrets. The tension is thick and may be a threat to their relationship.

Then something dramatic happens and Lacey finds herself in danger. I'm not going to tell you what happens but I will tell you my heart was racing and my fingers turning the page just as quickly as possible. I felt Lacey's fear and concern and Cole's desperation. I read this story in one setting. There was no way I was putting my Kindle down until I knew what was going to happen to Lacey.

This is a fairly quick read with just the right amount of hot and steamy scenes, drama, mystery, romance, and a nice dose of Christmas spirit.

I can't wait to read more about Cole's family at the Last Chance Ranch. I'm sure Lexi Post has a fabulous storyline in store for them.  I will impatiently be awaiting the next release by Lexi Post. It is sure to be a great read!

I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Christmas with Angel.

Pleasures of Christmas Past by Lexi Post ~A Christmas Carol~ REVIEW

I LOVE Christmas stories! There is just something special about a story that takes place at Christmas time. Lexi Post has taken a fun twist on The Christmas Carol with her special touch of hot and steamy.

Jessica Thomas is a helper. In life she was a social worker that did her best to help everyone. She felt the pain of each case she was not able to help. Now after she has passed she has been assigned to be a Spirit Guide. I really liked Jessica and I enjoy her quest as a spirit guide. I can feel her kind and caring spirit shines through in Lexi Post's awesome creative writing.

Duncan Montgomerie has been hanging around as a spirit guide for so long he has no clue how long ago he passed.  He is the classic case of a ladies' man with his playboy tendencies. He really does love the ladies. When he is assigned as Jessica's mentor he isn't sure he is going to be able to use his charm and flirting abilities to win her over.

Neither Jessica or Duncan found their happily ever after mate while living. So they do find they share a few similar traits. They also find a hot and steamy attraction. I have to say that Lexi Post has done a wonderful job of writing a totally unique story that had me completely captivated from the beginning all the way to the last page.

If you are looking for a unique Christmas story to help warm things up a little bit on a cold night, grab Pleasures of Christmas Past. I think you will enjoy it. I know I certainly did.

I was given the opportunity to read Pleasures of Christmas Past so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on the great Christmas tale.

#Review Poisoned Honor by Lexi Post

Poisoned Honor captured my attention from the first page and held me captivated all the way through. Lexi Post has put together a heart racing, breath stealing, page turner of a story that is impossible to put down.

Tyler Adams is Coast Guardsman rescue swimmer and he loves it. He's a true hero and is very dedicated to his team and always ready for the next rescue. Accidents are happening all around his team and in their Crystal Waters, Florida Air Station. Tyler is just about ready to return to duty and all of these accidents are making him a bit nervous. He's already dealing with a bit of fear of heights since his accident that he is trying to over come. He needs to know more about these "accidents" before he feels comfortable going back to active duty. He calls in his friend Ryan to help him put the pieces together.

Dr. Meghan Haskell has been working with a few of the members of Tyler's team after their accidents. When Tyler drops off his friend and fellow team mate for his session with Meghan, sparks fly. The attraction between Tyler and Meghan is intense and sizzling. As Meghan and Tyler are exploring a relationship together he confides his fillings that things are not right at the Air Station.

Each twist and turn had me holding my breath wondering what could possible be around the next corner. I don't want to tell you too much about the drama, suspense, or reveal any of the secrets to the story. You are going to want to grab this book yourself and enjoy those moments for yourself. I suggest grabbing up this book, curling up in a comfortable spot and devour this fabulous story.

Poisoned Honor is the second book in the Broken Valor series. I think it stands on it's own just fine and you won't have any problem if you pick this one up first. If you have had a chance to read When Love Chimes you are going to see some familiar faces and get a chance to catch up with Ryan and Lynzie.

Poisoned Honor is another shining example of Lexi Post's talent. This book has action, suspense, drama, mystery, team work, friendship, romance and a few steaming hot scenes that all combined are the recipe for a perfect read.

I was given the opportunity to read this fantabulous story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

#Review ~ Eden Revealed by Lexi Post ~ @LexiPost

Eden Revealed is the first book I have had a chance to read in Lexi Post's Eden Series. You are going to want to grab yourself a large cold drink before you start reading. This book is HOT and STEAMY and the perfect story to warm up a cool night. There is drama and suspense that complete the recipe for a fabulous read. I know it grabbed my attention from the first page and held it all the way through. I reached a point and there was no way I could put this book down. I had to finish it. Let's just say I had to add a large amount of hot water to my bath by the time I had finished the book.

Toni Reid is brave, independent, strong, smart, and creative lady. She is on a mission to find out what is going on with one member of the Ruling Circle. Akasha seen Toni spying while she was investigating. He doesn't know what she is up to so he takes her back to his apartment until he can find out what is going on and if she is one of the good ones or someone he should be concerned about.

The more time Akasha spends with Toni the more he is attracted to her. These two have an incredible chemistry together. They have a whole lot standing in their way of being together. They don't trust each other and both are keeping secrets. Those are some pretty big obstacles to over come.

Sandale is sent to Naralina to save Toni from danger her friends know she is in. They are right. Toni is over her head in  danger and suspense.  There are some very dramatic moments that had me sitting on the edge of my seat and flipping pages just as quickly as I could. I just had to see how Toni was going to get out of danger, solve the mystery, and prove that someone is up to no good.

Sandale, Akasha, and Toni end up working together and in some really dangerous situations together. These three work really well together. Sandale and Akasha are both seriously attracted to Toni and Toni is attracted to them. The attraction between these three is incredibly hot. You are going to want to watch your fingers when reading this incredible story.  I think I came away with just a touch of singed fingers from the heat coming off my Kindle.

I always LOVE Lexi Post's books. This lady can a story in any genre that that is entertaining, exciting, and has great characters that are easy to bond with or in some cases hate. This is part of the Eden series but I think it stands on it's own just fine. I didn't feel like I was missing any details that hurt my enjoyment in the story line.

I will be on the look out for more books in this series. I am always so excited when I find out that MS. Post has a new book coming. She is certainly at the top of my must read list always!

I was given the opportunity to read this great story and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

#NewRelease ~ Avenging Eden By Lexi Post ~ @LexiPost

Avenging Eden

The Eden Series Book 5

By Lexi Post

Blurb:
When Mya discovers a badly wounded Edenist in the jungle, she hopes by saving him, he will help her enter the city of Naralina. She takes him to the safety of her home, only to find another Edenist is already there…and he’s looking for her.

Keeva’s mind is more than intrigued about the invisible woman who came to his rescue since there’s no such thing as a female Edenist…not that his body cares. When he learns of her history, his protective instincts flare to life, bringing with them a need to avenge her.

Bent on revenge, Haldone seeks Mya’s help to punish those who harmed his brother, at least that’s what he tells himself, but his feelings for her go far deeper than the “friend” she dubs him. Unfortunately, he’s not the best at communicating his feelings…or anything else for that matter.

The men’s thirst for vengeance on those who took her parents gives Mya hope and a new sense of family. It isn’t long before she develops a growing attraction, the first in her life. But surprises in the enemy camp and dangers to them all mount until she realizes they each must decide what is more important, revenge or each other.

Excerpt:
Haldone’s loud voice lowered. “I understand your parents were taken by them, leaving you alone.”
Mya nodded. “They did. We were hunting and gathering. My mother and Air father were gudding a pig. My Mind father was hunting another. I was gathering burries.” She paused looking at the wall behind Haldone. “When my mother skeemed, I look. A tornedo heet my Air father, teerding him to picses. Strong Mind gab my mother and told another to find my other father.”
She finally looked at them. First, at the stunned Haldone and then at himself.
Keeva forced his voice through his tightened throat. “Mya, I am so sorry. You were too young to see that. What did you do?”
She grasped some strands of her hair and held onto them as if they could help her. “I starded my transion and dispeered.”
He laid his hand on hers, his heart aching for her as the reality of her young life became clear. “Have you been invisible ever since?”
She nodded.
His gut twisted and a deep-seeded anger gnawed its way up his throat. For the first time in his life, he understood what rage was. He looked at Haldone, whose own rage was barely controlled if the storminess of his eyes was any indication.
At the moment he wanted to unleash Haldone on every lawbreaker that ever lived. He glanced at Mya, whose eyes had turned a deep purple, the glistening over those beautiful orbs too heartbreaking to resist. He wrapped his arms around her and held her head against his shoulder.
He was surprised and pleased when she returned his embrace. He stared at Haldone over her shoulder and gave the slightest of nods. They would punish the lawbreakers for what they had done, to him, to Haldone’s brother, but mostly for what they’d done to a young girl on the verge of her transition.

Lexi is living her own happily ever after with her husband and her cat in Florida. She makes her own ice cream every weekend, loves bright colors, and you will never see her without a hat.
