#Review ~ THE SUMMER THAT MADE US By Robyn Carr ~ @RCarrWriter

The Summer that Made Us by Robyn Carr is an incredible story that touched my heart. I cried, I laughed, I worried along with the characters, and I flipped pages just as quickly as possible to see what was going to happen next.

Charley has recently lost her high profile job, her sister has been diagnosed with Cancer, and her world is not sitting right. Even though Charley's life is up in the air she knows how to take care of those in her family. I loved how this lady knew exactly what to do to help her family and she has a way of just getting things done. I loved that she put everything aside to get the lake house ready for her sister Meg.

Meg has been through so much fighting Cancer. My heart really went out to her. She has a wonderful husband who happens to be a doctor. Meg wants to re-live the summers of their childhood before she loses her fight with Cancer. Meg has developed an interesting sense of humor to deal with what she is going through.

Krista is a cousin to Charley and Meg. Krista has been through some horrible times. She is welcomed with open arms from Charley and Meg. I don't want to tell you too much and spoil the story for you. I will say that I really admired this lady's courage and loved to watch her grow and find herself as the story went on.

Hope, Krista's sister, has major issues. Hope arrives at the beach house with her two daughters after years of not seeing any of her family. The reunion does not flow smoothly. Hope has a way of putting a different spin on all situations. She has some major issues she is going to have to deal with.

Lou is the mother of Charley and Meg. She hasn't been able to over come the sadness and memories of the summer that she lost her youngest daughter, Bunny. Lou has a tough exterior but there just might be more to this lady than meets the eye.

Jo is Lou's sister and mother to Meg, Krista, and Beverley. Jo hasn't had an easy life. Her husband was something else. He was not a good husband or father. Jo's life was forever changed the summer they lost Bunny.

Robyn Carr's talent shines through in this incredible book. She has done a fabulous job creating characters that I easily bonded with and quickly became friends. Each character has a past that has affected their present situations they are dealing with. There is drama, a touch of mystery, a whole lot of family issues with a nice dose of family support.

I was given the opportunity to read this fantabulous story and it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
