Unscrupulous by Avery Aster ~ Manhattanites #2 ~Review ~

I just finished the second book in the Manhattanites series by Avery Aster. In Unscrupulous Ms. Aster gives us the background story of Taddy Brill one of the Manhattanites that I first read about in the  Undressed.  This story takes us back in time before Undressed, and shows us some background on all the characters.

Taddy has lived quite the life, she has major issues with her parents, and we find out just how horrible her teenage years were. I felt for this young woman, whom despite her parents influence created a very successful business and has friends that are way more loyal then her own family.

Taddy meets Warren Truman, her Big Daddy, but a few things stand in their way. They go their separate ways and then are lucky enough to meet up again. I liked the story line of their reunion. The bond these two share is very strong  instantly. The scenes between Taddy and Warren are really hot, spicy, and steamy.  Their attraction to each other is flammable from the from the start.

Warren has been through a lot in his life as well. When he lost his wife, he dealt with the pain by working hard. His hard work has paid off, he now has a very successful business and is quite wealthy. He doesn't like to be the center of public attention so there some mystery with this gentleman.

I have to say one of my favorite supporting characters in this book was Kiki. I loved how she is so innocent, yet works for Taddy who is anything but innocent. I thought this made for some really humorous scenes.

I enjoyed this book, there was quite a bit of drama, lots of steamy scenes, some humor, and some lovely scenes that show just what true friends will do for each other.

I look forward to the next book in this series to see what Ms. Avery has in store for us next.

I received this book in exchange for sharing my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts on Unscrupulous with you.
