A SMALL-TOWN BRIDE
Series: Chapel of Love, #2
By Hope Ramsay
Q&A with Hope Ramsay:
Q: What are you currently working on?
A: I’m working on the revisions to Here Comes the Bride, the third book in the Chapel of Love series. I’m almost finished with this book, which is scheduled to be published in August. It’s a fun book about a jilted bride and the best man who captures her broken heart.
Q: Do you have a favorite snack that like to munch on while writing? If so would you mind sharing what it is with us?
A: I’m not much of a muncher when I’m writing. But I can tell you that I am living proof that caffeine is an author’s most important muse. If I’m not properly caffeinated I simply can’t write. So I always have a Dr. Pepper within easy reach.
Q: When you are not busy writing wonderful stories to keep us lucky readers entertained, what do you like to do? Do you have a hobby?
A: I love to knit. In fact I love knitting so much that I’ve given myself knitter’s elbow, which is exactly the same as tennis elbow. I stink at playing tennis, by the way. While I’m waiting for my elbow to heel, I’ve been doing counted cross stitch. But, honestly, I can’t wait to get back to knitting. I find it so relaxing.
Q: Do you have a favorite background noise you like to having going while you write (TV, Music, kids playing)?
A: Most of the time I write in a quiet room. But I do put together a playlist of songs and music for every book that I write. I will listen to these songs while I’m driving around doing errands or when I’m exercising. And sometimes, when I’m writing a very emotional scene I might listen to one song on the playlist over and over again. I find that music helps me get in touch with emotions.
Q: Thanks for visiting. It has been a pleasure having you visit today. Can you think of anything else you would like to share with us today?
A: I’d like to send all my readers a heartfelt thank you. When you pick up one of my books you give life to the characters I’ve created. The people in my books may not live in the real world but they do exist. And all it takes is a reader to breath live into them.
The second book in USA Today bestselling author Hope Ramsay's Chapel of Love contemporary romance series about a small-town wedding chapel is perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber, Robyn Carr, and Sherryl Woods.
Amy Lyndon is tired of being the Poor Little Rich Girl of Shenandoah Falls. In her prominent family, she's the ordinary one - no Ivy League education and no powerful career. But when her father tries to marry her off, she knows it's finally time to stand up for herself, despite the consequences. Now that she's cut off from the family fortune, her first challenge is to fight her attraction to her handsome new boss.
When Amy shows up looking for work with his landscaping crew, Dusty McNeil thinks there's no way such a pampered princess will ever get her hands dirty. But as Amy proves him wrong and gets down to the nitty gritty, Dusty's admiration turns to like, then lust - and then love. But can a high-society woman like Amy ever fall for a man like him?
